Effective Home Remedies For The Dry Scalp Condition

Sometimes our scalp tends to get dried up. This is due to the decrease in the secretion of oil by sebaceous glands which are lying under the skin of the scalp. This oil gives the scalp and the hair follicles a lubricating effect. Nutritional deficiency is also the key intrinsic factor which may lead to dry scalp. Some other cause of the dry scalp is the use of excess and harsh shampoo, chemicals of hard water, pollution, dry weather condition etc.

The condition of the dry scalp is often accompanied by sensation of the itching of the skin, increase in the fall of the hair, and the formation of the flakes on the scalp.

The problem of dry scalp can be treated with the help of home remedies. Some of the effective home remedies for dry scalp.

1. Massage your scalp with oil. It is an effective remedy as it will improve the condition of dry scalp remedies. Massage helps in promoting the circulation of the blood. Due to massage the sebaceous gland is also activated and in turn releases the scalp oil which will reduce the dryness in the scalp. For dryness of the scalp the tea tree oil is also very effective. These oils will not only reduce the dryness of the scalp but also protect the scalp from bacteria and fungus infection. You must shampoo your hair after oiling it properly otherwise it will give oily look.

3. An apple cider vinegar is also very effective for treating the problem of dryness in the scalp. Due to the severe dryness in the scalp the residue which is formed over the scalp can be reduced by the help of this vinegar. You have to dilute half cup of apple cider vinegar in one-fourth cup of water and then add two drops of lavender oil and two tea spoons of honey in it. Mix it properly and then apply to your scalp for an hour. At last wash your hair with warm water. This remedy must be repeated twice in the week.
