K2 located between the border of Pakistan and china can be accessed from both countries. The route from the Chinese side is arduous and full of danger so adventure enthusiasts have been using the Pakistani side of the route to get to the k2 base camp. k2 Base camp is a playing station for thousands of adventurers around the world.
K2 Base Camp Trek is one of the finest mountain walks, passing and camping through the giants of the Karakoram range. The k2 trekking starts from Islamabad as a 45 minutes’ flight will take the visitor to the Karakoram town of Skardu . Skardu is the capital town of Karakoram and the supply hub of all adventure in north Pakistan. Skardu is an exotic mountain town also known as little Tibet. k2 visitors take a jeep drive of around 7-8 hours takes to reach Mongoron Camp. there are no further roads onward from Mongron camp on the way to k2 base camp.

The walk starts from Mongron camp and there are wild mountains and glaciers of Karakoram it will take up to 7 days to reach k2 base camp. The trek is mostly on the 65km Baltoro that is why it is also known as the Baltoro glacier trek. ...

Concordia is the heart of the Karakoram range it has the largest concentration of the highest mountains on the earth including four 8000m peaks, k2, broad peak, Gasherbrum 1 & II. the amphitheater of peaks from Concordia camp makes it the best place on earth for a campsite. After k2 most of the visitors return back via the same route to Askoli and skardu they followed to k2 base camp. While some prefer to cross a mountain pass (Gondogoro la pass ) into another valley of Karakoram. This is known as k2 Gondogoro la trek after the name of the Gondogoro La pass.
