You can proceed with the construction work of your home when you have got the approved development application. The approved form is a legal proof that the construction plan submitted has followed all the rules and regulations and that there is no violation of any kind. After you submit the application, wait for a week to hear from them. In case, it is more than 10 days and you are yet to hear from the concerned authorities you need to follow up with them. You can either visit the office or call them up. You can also drop a mail. In most cases, you will get a feedback within 48 hours regarding the status of the application. If you have filled up the form properly and have submitted all the required documents, there is nothing to worry about. The application will get approved.
