Mistakes You Need To Avoid With Plastic Business Cards
When you are designing plastic business cards, you should remember that it has a purpose to fulfill. You need to make sure that the business card looks attractive enough for the target customers to be convinced that you or your business are what they are looking for.
Your business card is an extension of your brand. So, with well-designed plastic business cards, you can look reliable and reputable to your potential customers. But to do that you need to avoid these plastic business card printing mistakes.
1. Not Including Obvious Contact Details
It is common knowledge that your potential customers need contact details to get in touch with you. If you print attractive square business cards, you can win a few compliments. But if people are unable to figure out how to contact you, they will just toss the business card in the trash.
So, before you pay attention to the design, you need to ensure that you are including all relevant details, such as-
· Business name and logo
· Personal name
...
... · Business website
· Job title
· Business phone number and address
· Social media handles
You should provide your customer’s details to reach out to you. Every person has their own communication preference. Hence, adding multiple channels is the best way to get a response out of your prospective customers.
2. Including Outdated Details
Would you like to do business with someone who is providing you with a business card that has a phone number, which isn’t reachable? Or would you choose a business that has business cards with crossed-out information and replaced them with handwritten details? Your customers are not going to spend time filling up the details. They are just going to move over to some other business.
So, avoid printing information that is dated. Business cards are an affordable investment and easily help in grabbing more customers. If you are not professional enough, your customers are not going to trust you. Make sure you are printing the right details in your business cards.
3. Using Too Small Texts
People tend to print their first business card on your desktop without zooming out and checking the real font size. This can be detrimental for your business as the printed card might have extremely small text that is unreadable. So, your customers will throw the business card straight into the bin.
A business card is usually 3.5 x 2 inches in size. The text on the card has to be large enough for people to read it easily, particularly if they have eyesight problems.
So, whenever you are changing your design, make sure that you zoom out to see what it is going to look like when printed.
4. Not Using High-Quality Images
When you are considering square business card printing, avoid using poor-quality images. If you print low-quality images, you will have a card that has grainy and pixelated images. It is not going to make your business look credible and professional.
Based on the screen size, your desktop or laptop will display images around 72 DPI and it is too low for printed media. In case you have to print an image that is 72 DPI on paper, it is going to appear grainy.
When you are designing plastic business cards, use images that are at least 300 DPI for images and 600 DPI for artwork or images. This way your business card images will look crisp and nice.
