Winter is the perfect time to get on the road and go for those wonderful road trips. Especially in India, November, December, January and February are considered really well months. So, instead of going all over the internet to search, we've compiled an integrated summary of the ideal destinations for that perfect winter trip of your dreams. Fasten your seat belt. From Delhi to Leh via Manali
You can't say road trip and not mention Manali and Leh. And this road trip allows you to experience both these places in one trip. Fun, isn't it? The journey from Delhi to Leh via Manali is about 1,011 km long and can take up to 24 hours to complete. The tour is divided into two parts - from Delhi to Manali and from Manali to Leh and is one of the best places to visit in December. Along the way you can stop to taste steaming momos, classic Maggie and tea and many other dishes. And with scenic stopovers like Rohtang La, Keylong, Gispa, Sarchu, Baralacha La, Darcha and numerous places along the way to capture stunning pictures, this Delhi to Leh road trip is equally exciting and enjoyable.

One of the famous road trips in the north of India is the journey from Jammu to Kashmir. The tour connects the summer and winter capitals - Jammu and Srinagar respectively at a distance of about 300 km. It is a journey of about 10-12 hours depending on the road conditions. The road is full of spectacular valleys, enchanting mountains and surreal experiences. Definitely worth every minute!
Jaipur to Jaisalmer

Take two of the best places in Rajasthan that are full of liveliness and culture and add a road trip to it. What do you get A winning combo for sure! Jaisalmer is approximately 560 km from Jaipur and it takes about 9.5 to 10 hours to reach Jaipur. Along the way, you can consider stopping at places like Kishangarh Fort, Pushkar, Ajmer, Nagaur and more. And when you stop, don't forget to try our lip-smacking Rajasthani dishes like Dal Bhati Churma, Piyaz Kachauri, Gutte Ki Sabzi, Lal Mas and more. This winter's journey from Pink City to Golden City will leave you in awe and also fall in love with Rajasthan.
Chandigarh to Kasol

There is something about North India and winter that makes a person very eager to visit. Winter road trips have recently become a trend. However, long before this mainstream, people enjoyed traveling by road during the winter. The Kasol route from Chandigarh is one such iconic route. You start early morning from Chandigarh and proceed towards Kasol. The total distance is approximately 290 km. You start with the planned decent city of Chandigarh and then end at Kasol - a village in the Parvati valley of Himachal Pradesh which is also a hub for backpackers and trek enthusiasts. Along the way, you visit Kullu, Mandi and other such places. This is an experience like no other.
Puri to Konark
When it comes to road trips, it is not just west and North India that are famous. Many East Indian and South Indian destinations are perfect for a winter road trip. On this road you can drive down the road where there is greenery on one side and sea on the other. Known as Marine Drive, this road from Puri to Konark is one of the most scenic coastal roads in India. It connects the land of Surya Mandir with the land of Jagannath Puri. This road trip allows you to visit some wonderful places in a short period of time and also indulge yourself in local Oriya food like Pakhala Bhat, Chenna Poda, Rasbali etc. The journey is relatively short; it is still an experience in itself.
