If you've ever been to a networking event, you know the joy of coming home and dumping a stack of business cards on your desk, only to look at them several weeks later and forget who half the people are whose names are written there.

Well, it turns out it's not just you-a recent study found that more than half of all business cards go into the trash within a week of being collected at an event. They serve their purpose as a way to get your contact information into someone's hands fast and efficiently, but they don't do much else. And if they're not in your wallet or purse, they're just taking up space on your desk.

NFC digital business cards is the answer to all of your agonies. They look like ordinary paper cards, with one key exception: embedded in the card is an NFC chip that transmits your contact information (and other pertinent details about you) wirelessly to any smartphone that has NFC capabilities enabled-including iPhones.

All you have to do is hand over the card as you would normally, and then send an SMS from your phone ...
... with a link to where the recipient should download their NFC-enabled reader app. From there, when they scan the business card with their phone's NFC scanner, all the information is transferred to their phone automatically!

This article will talk about NFC digital business cards and how they are better than the paper ones.

Paper Business Cards
Paper business cards are still very popular throughout the world. In fact, according to a recent survey, more than half of world use paper business cards. While they serve their purpose, they also have many disadvantages:

They can be easily lost.
They can be destroyed by water or mud.
They take up space and require a container to keep them safe.
They can’t include videos or other interactive content that can increase your brand awareness.

NFC Digital Business Card
NFC digital business cards are the next generation of paper business cards. Gone are the days of leaving your card behind on the table, or handing your card over only to never hear from that person again. With NFC digital business cards, you can track engagement and follow up immediately with a text or email. NFC digital business cards are the perfect solution to all of these problems. Instead of exchanging physical cards, you can simply share the link to your digital card with your new contact.
