One of the beauties of our culture is the number of traditions we have and the variety of occasions we are presented with, which comes with the benefit of wearing traditional clothing.

Traditional clothing like handloom lungi is vastly underappreciated and frequently misjudged due to your ignorance. Listen up if you want to be the boss in this arena! Here are some hot traditional dressing tips for all you guys who want to look dapper in your outfits!

1. No deep cut necks:

Indian celebrations or traditional occasions are very formal. As a result, exposing your chest through a deep neck cut kurta will make you appear tacky. So avoid deep cuts and try to keep it classy rather than flashy.

2. Avoid shine and mirrors:

You should always make an effort to remain sober. Don't go the glamorous route because simple is always more elegant. Unless it is a wedding, avoid wearing shine and mirrors.

3. Don't mix more than 3 colors:

It's a piece of ethnic clothing, not a glass prism. As a result, the fewer colors it has, the ...
... better it looks. An outfit can go wrong if the colors aren't well-coordinated, so make sure you match the right ones.

4. Prioritize a tighter fit:

We strongly advise all of you men to wear traditional outfits that are body-fitting or tighter than your regular shirts because ethnic wear is meant to highlight your body features.

5. Roll up your sleeves:

When it comes to kurtas and ethnic wear, this is a powerful move (and also to impress them, ladies). It improves your personality!

6. Footwear:

Sports shoes and sneakers should be avoided. That is a major turnoff. To complete your look, pair it with simple flip-flops or formal shoes. Also, while Indian loafers and chappals can be worn, we recommend investing in a good pair of Indian formal shoes. A black and brown pair will come in handy!

7. Bottom wear:

Jeans or chinos are permitted if the occasion is not too formal. Try churidars for a more formal and large look; they are the Majnu to your Uday in terms of clothing. Dhotis should only be worn if you are confident in your ability to carry them. They are not suitable for everyone.

8. Nehru jackets:

This is ethnic wear's eye candy. Also, it's very fashionable right now, and it makes you look elegant and classy. Choose a contrasting color; avoid anything too shiny and designer. The colors of the kurta over cotton vests and jackets should be complementary.

9. Watches:

When it comes to watches, there are two simple rules to follow: no casual watches and no metal watches. Always opt for leather watches in black or brown. Brown is a lighter tone, and black is a darker tone.

10. Dressing for occasions:

Wear bright colors to functions, religious events, and festivals. For example, weddings are supposed to be big events, so go for something a little more stylish; don't be a bore.

Choose the right fabric

The appeal of ethnic wear stems from the fabric's versatility: popular materials include chanderis, brocades, cotton, linen, and silks. However, this adaptability can be overwhelming: with so many options to choose from, selecting an outfit may prove difficult. Ethnic wear is as cumbersome as it is appealing back then. But there is a way out of this predicament: Understand the occasion. If you're going to a semi-formal event, choose cotton or cotton chanderis with lucknowi embroidery. Colder weather calls for heavier, more embellished fabrics, so don't be afraid to wear embroidered jacquards, silks, and brocades — all of which are commonly used in wedding gowns.

Spend your money on ethnic clothing based on your needs. Spend no more than Rs. 1,000 on something casual, such as a college celebration, but spend Rs. 1,000 or more on a function, wedding, or another event. Remember that if you pair your clothes correctly, even the most basic and inexpensive pieces can look fashionable!
