All You Need To Know About Resistive Load Banks
Load banks are devices that include inductive, resistive and/or capacitive loads. These devices apply the load to an electrical source, thereby dissipating its power. Load banks provide controlled and pre-determined loads. These in turn serve the power source, using its energy output to support, test or protect. Stationary and portable resistive load banks incorporate load step increments for testing small to large generating sets. Their fine control ensures perfect power factor and load control targeting adjustments. Resistive load banks can be useful for both on-site and workshop testing and the units are appropriate for trailer mounting.

Control
You can control resistive load banks via remote, local, automatic control or wireless remote systems.
Local Control - Self-contained control panel in load bank with load control touch panel and/or button.
Remote Control - PC software controlled using data cable through a USB connection in an area away from the physical load bank, for controlling power factor, load steps, capturing data, timing, test mode and fault detection.
Wireless Remote Control - The main controlling function and load steps of the load bank is achieved using an ergonomic hand-held remote control.
Automatic Control - DSP controller with the option of auto-control is available including auto load regulation, auto on-off, regenerative power response, and timing.
A resistive load bank provides equal loading of both the prime mover and generator. They are mainly designed for both fixed and resistive applications.
