All About Stainless Steel Wire Rods
A wire rod is a hot rolled wire with a diameter ranging from 5.5 to 42 mm. Depending on the requirements, it can be made from a variety of materials. Wire rods can be made from copper, stainless steel, carbon steel, or aluminum.
Timex Metals is a leading Stainless Steel wire rod manufacturer in India. Our Wire rods are of premium quality and excellent finish. We stringently evaluate the quality, durability, finish and various other parameters at each stage of production. We provide wires and wire rods which are extremely resistant to corrosion and high weldability.
Process of production
Wire rods are made by hot rolling billets on continuous rolling mills. Shafts are used to pull it away from the hot metal. The shafts shape and compress the metal on all sides, changing a single piece of metal into a thin, long cable.
The rod must be chilled after rolling. This wire ...
... is wound on a specific winding at the end of the rolling mill to cool even more. This procedure can be completed in one of two ways: by air or by rapid cooling. Unlike quick cooling, which necessitates the use of special fans, air cooling occurs naturally. The rod is now ready to be stored after cooling.
Stainless steel wire rods are the primary source of stainless steel wire. Industrial fasteners, springs, medical and dental equipment, car components, and welding electrodes are all made from stainless steel wire.
We are also renowned as Stainless steel wire rod supplier and Stainless steel wire rod exporter, as we deliver our products to more than 60 cities nationally, and 30 countries internationally.

What is Stainless steel 316 wire ? 316 grade stainless steel is an austenitic form of stainless steel known for its 2-3% molybdenum content. The added molybdenum makes the metal more resistant to pitting and corrosion, as well as improving resistance when exposed to elevated temperatures.Similar to 304, Grade Stainless Steel 316 Wire has high amounts of chromium and nickel. 316 also contains silicon, manganese, and carbon, with the majority of the composition being iron. On the Brinell hardness scale Stainless Steel 316 Wire has a hardness of 217 and a Rockwell B hardness of 95. There are a few differences in mechanical properties between Stainless Steel 316 Wire . One of these differences lies in the tensile strength.Timex metals offers one of the finest quality Stainless Steel 316 Wire to different wire drawing factories around the globe.
