Types Of Fashion Wear For Indian Men
![Profile Picture](https://www.123articleonline.com/images/avatar-default.jpg)
As most Indian fashion for men is ethnic, it is similar to that of women. Casual, college, wedding, and formal Indian wear all have a different look for each occasion. Indian fashion is one of a kind in the world, and it has grown dramatically in the last decade. Many men wonder what to wear other than their comfort wear like handloom lungi to look classy and sophisticated, especially during the wedding season. Despite the fact that many trends have emerged recently as a result of the country's increased e-commerce, many people prefer ethnic Indian attire to trendy ones. Jackets, Kurtas, and Sherwanis are just a few examples of Indian men's wear. The following are various types of Indian men's fashion wear.
The Indian Suit
This is ideal for formal occasions such as weddings, parties, and the many Indian festivals. There isn't much of a difference between this Indian suit and the western suit. The difference is in the Indian touch, but the cut and fit are both similar. Their suits are typically richly embellished or embroidered in royal colors such ...
... as burgundy, purple, blue, and maroon. To make the suits look as formal as possible, the standard fabrics used are brocade and cotton, and the majority of them are collarless.
The Sherwani
Indian men typically wear one of three types of Sherwani. The Sherwani gives the wearer a royal and luxurious feel. They are typically paired with churidar or dhotis as bottoms and can be accessorised with a dupatta, jootis, and mala. The traditional Sherwani has the most straightforward cut of all. This Sherwani has been around for a long time in the world of Indian fashion. Sherwani used to be the royal family's dress, but now most grooms prefer it as their wedding attire.
The Asymmetric Sherwani is another type of Sherwani that is made with exotic and luxurious Indian fabrics every season. The Indo-western Sherwani is the most recent Sherwani trend that is a fusion of Indian attire and western clothes. Their designs are unique with a curved hemline to bring out the western elegance for an exceptional look.
The Kurta
In India, this is considered casual wear for men. Kurtas are the inverse of Kurtis for women in terms of fashion. The design is the same, but the sexes are distinguished by a different twist. Kurtis for weddings is the same as Kurtas for parties and festivities. Kurtas have evolved significantly in the current Indian fashion industry. They can be made shorter so that they can be worn with jeans for a more casual look.
Kurtas are long or short-sleeved garments made of cotton, silk, or brocade. They also look great with churidar bottoms that match or contrast. When the groom wears a kurta pyjama, the bride can match by wearing wedding Kurtis.
Achkan
This is a form of Sherwani that has a button placket in the front. It is knee-length and buttoned, similar to the jacket Sherwani, to emphasize the classy look. The Achkan can be embroidered, plain, or designed in any way the owner desires. It is worn with Churidar pants or dhotis and is made of heavy, fitted fabric. Achkan is a great choice for weddings, the Sangeet ceremony, and other Indian festivals. Male guests who have been invited to the wedding can wear the Achkan.
Bandi
Bandi is a lovely waistcoat that every man should have in his wardrobe. Men in India frequently wear bandis as a casual outfit to various events. When worn with a long-sleeved Kurta and churidar pants, the Bandi adds a pop of color. To attend events such as graduations and weddings, the Bandi can be easily paired with either a patterned or plain casual Kurta.
Nehru Jacket
This versatile jacket for the Indian man is worn in the same way as the Bandi. The Nehru is distinctive in that it has a variety of styles and cuts in its design. The Nehru was named after Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Indian prime minister who wore it all the time. This is a must-have for any man's wardrobe because it combines an ethnic look with a completely modern look. It looks great with a plain-colored Kurta or Sherwani and salwar or churidar bottoms.
The Bottoms
The churidar is the most common and preferred pair of pants to wear with most Indian outfits. These tight pants are worn by both men and women and are best suited for formal occasions. Another common bottom is the dhoti, which was and still is worn by yogis. They are typically attired for religious or wedding ceremonies. Dhotis look great with a variety of patterns of Sherwani. Other bottoms that are popular for their style and comfort are the salwar and pyjamas.
Accessories
Men, too, have accessories to match their outfits. Since ancient times, the turban has been the most famous and commonplace accessory. Turbans come in a variety of styles in the male fashion world. There are printed, plain, bordered, and a variety of fabrics available, such as cotton and silk. Another accessory that men wear is the dupatta, which is very ethnic in Indian culture. Dupattas represent class, and when worn with Kurtas or Sherwanis, they make them appear more formal and elegant. Jootis are Indian men's slip-on shoes that match their embellished or plain attire. They complete the outfit for a wedding look when paired with a kurta or Sherwani.
Jewelry
Indian men enjoy accessorising as well, so they have beautiful jewellery with which to adorn themselves. The turban brooch, also known as the kilangi, the gold necklace or mala, and a standard brooch that holds the dupattas in place when worn to accessorise their outfit are some of the traditional pieces of jewellery. Combining one of each fashion trend completes a man's entire outfit.
