CHANGING THE APP ICONS IN IOS 15

It is a much straightforward task for anyone to change the app icons in iOS 15 on iPhone and iPad. If you want to do so, you will need to follow a proper procedure. There are multiple methods for changing the app icons in iOS 15. You can do so using the Shortcuts app, or you can even set a glyph as your custom icon. You will see both these methods here. The Shortcuts app was launched with the release of iOS 14, and it is an automation app. Using the app, you can trigger actions and automation based on different changing variables of your device. So, with all such details, let’s see what you will need to do to change the app icons in iOS 15 on your iPhone or iPad.


METHOD TO CHANGE THE APP ICON IN IOS 15 USING THE SHORTCUTS APP

Here are the instructions to change the app icon in iOS 15 using the shortcuts app:

To get started, you will first have to launch the Shortcuts app on your iPhone running iOS 15. You can launch the app from the control center.

After launching the app, you will have to tap the “+” icon located in the top right corner of your screen.

Again, you will tap on the “+” icon. On the next screen, go to the search bar at the top to search for the term titles “Open App.”

Tap and select the same option if you see it appearing again on your screen.

Next up, you will have to tap the “App” option.

You will now have to choose the app you wish to create an icon for, after which it will automatically get added to the shortcut.

Jump at the top of the screen to select the “Open App” option and enter the name of the app you have just chosen.

Now, if you wish to set glyph as your custom icon, you will tap on the icon beside your app name at the top of the screen.

You will then have to choose the color for your app icon.

Proceed further by tapping on the “Glyph.”

On the next screen, you can now choose the desired glyph from the selection. You can also use the custom categories that you can see at the bottom of your page.

And once you are done, you will tap on the same glyph positioned in the top right corner of your screen.

Tap on the “Menu” icon positioned at the top right corner of the screen.

And then, tap on the “Add to Homescreen” option, and then select “Add.” And that’s it. You will now see the selected shortcut added to your home screen with your choice of glyph and app color as its custom icon.
