The steps of composite bonding are also very simple i.e. drying the tooth surface, applying etchant, washing, applying bonding agents, curing and then composite is ready for bonding. Composite bonding doesn’t require any lab alterations as it can be done directly in the mouth. Composite finishing and polishing is done with the help of polishing paste and discs.

Tooth contouring is a cosmetic process which involves shaping of enamel for aesthetic purpose and functional efficiency. It involves removal of small amount of tooth enamel and create subtle changes. As tooth contouring involves minimal or no amount of enamel removal the tooth can last for a longer period of time provided no further trauma is involved.
