This innovative treatment is only one hour long and requires only one session.

If you've maintained your finger on the pulse of cosmetic innovation, you're aware that body treatments like contouring lasers and injectables have seen a recent surge in popularity. On the other hand, most dermatological therapies have failed to offer long-term or even noticeably perceptible improvements for those who want to reduce the look of cellulite. Resonic, a new technology, attempts to transform all of that. The entirely noninvasive treatment reduces cellulite in just one hour and one session.

"Consumers are always searching for treatments that don't require needles, cause minimal discomfort, and have no downtime so they can get back to their normal daily activities, and with Resonic, we hit all those criteria," says Brad Hauser, CEO of Resonic's parent company, Soliton. "Cellulite affects so many people," he says, "and in our clinical research, we noticed a wide range of ages, skin types, and tones that improved significantly."

Although the treatment won't be available until the summer, we asked the specialists everything ...
... there is to know about Resonic before seeing a doctor.
What Is Cellulite and How Does It Affect You?

First and foremost, cellulite is entirely natural and does not require treatment. Cellulite is most commonly found on women's buttocks and thighs, and it affects 90 to 95 percent of women after puberty." The fat cells are pushed around, resulting in dimples on the skin. These dimples, known as cellulite, are caused by fibrous bands that connect muscle. When those small bands stiffen, they draw down on the muscle, typically after menopause or due to genetic reasons.

How Does Resonic Work?

Resonic is distinguished by the Rapid Acoustic Pulse technology it employs. The RAP technology is unlike any other cellulite therapy that has come before. It can produce high-energy sound waves at up to 100 per second. The sound waves penetrate the skin and physically shatter the fibrous bands, releasing the skin. This gives the appearance of being smooth.

When used in conjunction with laser therapy, Resonic can remove tattoos in as few as three sessions and fade the tattoo by 44 percent in a single session. This is in contrast to traditional laser tattoo removal, which often necessitates ten or more clinic visits to obtain the same results.
Resonic is the first gadget that can break up fibrous bands without harming the surrounding skin. It destroys those fibers specifically to lift and smooth the skin.

What Does It Feel Like to Get Treated?

Resonic isn't uncomfortable, even if you have a low pain tolerance for most body treatments. There is some discomfort caused by the heat generated by the laser, but it's a very minor pain. The best part is that there's no after-effects discomfort and the average treatment time for the thighs and buttocks is less than an hour.

Is Resonic Worth Trying?

Even though the technique works on all skin types and tones, patients with more dimples and less skin laxity will benefit the most from the cellulite treatment.
