Google and HTC have developed a unique new voice recognition system that for the first allows voice dictation in any text field. This means that Nexus One users can now dictate text messages, emails, Twitter, web searches and more. No other smartphone currently offers this exclusive technology.

With VoIP technology now on the horizon, many thought that the new Nexus One, especially with an innovative company like Google in charge, would make better use of this technology. It turns out that the Nexus One is not the VoIP only handset that consumers were eager to see, and calls are connected in the same way as any other smartphone, rather than through data networks.

However, the Nexus One still uses touch recognition and has a large scale touch screen too.

It allows users to make international phone calls for less, and to check their voice mail message from their computer, among other things.
