I love this series. It's hard to put into words, but it's always fun to see the FFA bad guys get caught. But after a bunch of crazies stormed the Capitol and called it "patriotism" [*cough, bullshit, cough*]? Do you see groups of armed idiots shooting up the streets and shouting "Purge forever"? Seems like something some "Americans" would consider doing. If they haven't already thought about it. Be sure to check out the fun for this weekend at 7starhd. I would even say that watching the movie "Forever and Ever" could be a litmus test; if the viewer applauds the bad guys? Well, yes.

the futility of punishing violence
The film's message of togetherness and treating everyone well must be preaching to the choir because I can't imagine haters would watch the film if the earlier parts of the film were very liberal/progressive (immigration, economic injustice, the futility of punishing violence - it's all there again, but in a slightly different way). In The Purge and its sequel, it's the Mexicans and natives who get the most anger as they push the hapless Yanks out of the fight.
Their worlds collide as everything turns upside down
The actors are very talented, as is often the case in such films. Blumhouse has actors in these films who live their roles, and I respect that. And as always with The Purge, we always have a great cast. Adela and Juan (Ana de la Reguera and Tenoh Huerta) are immigrants going through their first purgatory, and Will Patton, Josh Lucas, Cassidy Freeman, and Leven Ramblin are the wealthy farm family hired by Juan. Their worlds collide as everything turns upside down. In the form of a gun, to be precise. It's time to dodge the bullets!

I can enjoy this spectacle
As intriguing as the plot and basic idea of The Eternal Purge is, and as beautifully shot and staged as everything is - seriously, the close-ups are stunning - I don't think I could watch it again. themoviesflix is the best website to provide the latest action movies without any problem. At least not now. It's too reminiscent of what the US has become after the madness of the last few years. Maybe in a few years, when our country is free of this dichotomy, I can enjoy this spectacle. Keep your fingers crossed.
