Important Rituals Of Hajj
Hajj pilgrimage is the time for the annual religious gathering of the Muslim community in the holy city of Makkah. Since hajj pilgrimage remains the fifth pillar of the Islamic faith, it is observed by millions of pilgrims every year through their umrah 2022 packages UK. However, one must know that obligation of Hajj pilgrimage is for only those who have the financial as well as the physical capability for it.
So, whether you are traveling for hajj for the first time or remain a frequent traveler; here’s a brief description of the important rituals of hajj.
Ihram.
For the holy pilgrimage, the first and foremost duty to be fulfilled by a pilgrim is assuming ihram. In the religious context, Ihram is a state of absolute purity in which a pilgrim makes certain things Haram upon oneself (for a certain period) which are halal otherwise.
For every pilgrim intending to perform haj or umrah, Ihram should be assumed necessarily and before the Miqat boundary is crossed.

... prohibitions are imposed for him/her. Until and unless the rituals of hajj are complete and the pilgrim denounces the state of ihram, these prohibitions remain. That’s why in order to make your pilgrimage valid, it's essential to abide by these rules and regulations.
Stay in Mina.
Staying in mina is another important ritual of hajj; pilgrims travel to Mina from Makkah whether by foot or by buses and cars (it’s an 8 kilometers journey). The pilgrims spend the day in Mina supplicating and then set out the next morning at dawn only.
Day of Arafah.
Among the holiest and essential days of an Islamic Year, the Day of Arafah remains a prominent one. It also remains a very important day of Hajj.
In addition, Mount Mercy in Arafat region is the exact place where the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) delivered his famous ‘final sermon’. Traveling 14.4 kilometers from Mina, pilgrims arrive in Arafat and then spend the day here in reverent prayer.
Rami-al-Jamarat.
After the sunset, pilgrims travel towards the region of Muzdalifah which is a 9 kilometers trip. Here, pilgrims are supposed to spend the night under the clear skies while beginning to collect pebbles for the next days’ rites of ‘Rami-al-Jamarat’.
Final days of Hajj.
In the final days of the Hajj pilgrimage, the pilgrims will again symbolically stone the devil i.e., Rami is performed, and this time throwing seven pebbles at each of the three pillars.
Pilgrims also spend the next 2-3 days in the Mina region again and when their time in Mina is finished, they return to Makkah and perform the final Tawaf of the Holy Kaabah also known as the ‘Farewell Tawaf’.
It remains a very brief comprehension of the important rituals of hajj but it is advised for pilgrims to consult religious scholars for detailed guidance on the rituals of hajj.
