Rifles and other firearms are never chosen arbitrarily. Hunters and shooters know what they feel comfortable with in terms of issues such as barrels and stocks, moving parts and also the telescopic sight they need to aid accuracy and success.

Telescopic sights can be bought from leading manufacturers and suppliers, dealers that represent certain brands and retailers that may offer different choices and selections. The shooter or hunter has, typically, two choices in terms of which their rifle is fitted with a telescopic scope, i.e., to buy it together with the rifle – or separately, in which case they will then have to provide for fitting it to the top of their firearm.

This, the latter, is an option for many that prefer to take care of the process themselves since they may enjoy DIY, or they may have
a preference for something very specific that, say, their retailer may not stock. For these individuals, the answer is to do it themselves, which involves a process of purchasing a scope mount system from a manufacturer, supplier or service provider.

Scope mount systems are used all over the world, ...
... and in America, for example, thousands prefer this option since it gives them the option to create the perfect base and rings for their sight to be mounted. The scope mount system exists of a base part, and a ring or rings, typically a 1-ring option or an option with two rings. This will depend on preference, and on the type of rifle you use, whether you own a Traditions rifle, or another brand such as Kimber, Marlin or one of the many leading options out there.

Of course one has to pay attention to issues such as whether yours is a Bolt action gun, or, say, an AR-15 and other similar carbine options, for example. Because the mounting system is the feature that links the rifle and sights, rifle owners must make sure their optics are mounted and aligned perfectly so that accurate shooting is not compromised. Therefore it is important to look at the different mounting systems and establish which one would be most suitable for your specific rifle.

If, for example, yours is a Traditions model, it would be imperative you look at the scope mount systems that would best support your rifle’s profile and the recommended mount system. There will always be choices in terms of size and height, and also colour options. A good supplier of scope mount systems will ensure they have those systems available that the client prefers and requires for optimum success, be that a 1- or a 2-piece ring system together with the base part of the scope.

This applies to the Traditions options, but to every other brand that lends itself to such choices. Make sure to deal with a preferred or recommended supplier or manufacturer, one that offers years of experience and expertise. It is also important to establish that whatever system you buy, either in a shop or via an online ordering process, you deal with a service provider that can offer not only choices of scope mounts but also advice and additional information to help you make the right choice.

Many buyers these days prefer to look at lighter scope mount systems for their Traditions and other models, which means they are most likely manufactured from good quality aluminium, as opposed to older options such as, say, steel. Many buyers, too, feel that they prefer dealing with a service known for offering a personalized service as opposed to a supplier that simply distributes the products of a large manufacturer.
Personal attention, when offered by an experienced company, is almost always the choice for the rifle owner looking for a quality scope mount system for the Traditions, Browning or Remington rifle – among the many choices.
