India has been known to have wonderful dresses and costumes. The most common and accepted attire for Indian women or girls is the sari or saree. A saree or sari is a traditional or ethnic garment for women in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. It is a long single piece of fabric ranging from 4 to 9 meters in length and 1 metre in width. It is draped over the women or girls' body in various styles and ways. It is draped with combination of matching short fitting blouse (choli) forming the upper garment and petticoat forming the lower garment.
