Dedham Pottery is a well known, highly regarded and well made type of pottery from Dedham, Massachusetts. Dedham is located on the eastern coast of the Massachusetts mountains. The history of the Pottery making at this town is linked to colonial times. Many of the pottery items found at this town were imported from England. They are well known for their beautiful, unique designs, such as those with ever-changing facial expressions.

Many people are unaware that the pottery tradition in Dedham goes all the way back to the first years of America. The pottery styles from this period are the result of hand-made, unique creations. One of the most common types of pottery during this time was pottery that featured pebble-sized, amber colored glaze patterns. There were also a number of other colorful glazes and patterns that were used.

It is also considered to be more valuable, although the value can vary depending upon the rarity of the item and dedham pottery marks . On the average, the value of a single piece of five-year-old dedham pottery is around one hundred and fifty dollars. On the other hand, a piece of japanned jane pottery may sell for anywhere between five hundred and one thousand dollars.

There are a couple of different reasons why dedham pottery is so popular. One of those reasons is because it is made with mugs, bowls, and ceramics rather than ceramics. It is possible that it was the mugs that helped to make it so popular, since they are easier to crack when using a hot iron. Prior to the invention of mugs, people would drink tea out of earthenware vessels. The crackling gave the tea an earthy taste. In essence, the earthy taste of the ancient peoples' teas was what drew people to the new ceramic vessels.

Some examples of pieces that had glaze in their making include the "Dedham Rabbit" which was created in the year 1812, the first pottery dinnerware serving pieces, and even an example of "Dedham Turtle" which is from the year 1820.

The popularity of "Dedham Rabbit" led to other similar looking dishes and eventually inspired people to create more intricate pieces such as "Dedham Turtle" and the "Dedham Mouse". Two other types of pots that can be considered "Dedham pottery" are the "Dedham Turtle" and the "Dedham Rabbit". There were also some potteries that are considered to be dedham pottery but never mass produced like the ones mentioned above. These may include the "Skeleton Key" and the "Master's Key".

The popularity of these potteries eventually inspired others to use the same pots for their dinnerware. Today, you can find many different types of "Dedham" or "Dedham Rabbit" pottery available, some of which are even eight years old. Another type of pottery from the same era that is still being mass produced is the "Master's Key". The "Master's Key" is also a mass produced item and is a very common gift on birthdays, anniversaries and Christmas.
