Google has finally unveiled its Android 12 this year which comes earlier than usual. Previously the One UI 4 beta version was launched, and now the new One UI 4.0 for the Galaxy devices will arrive. Here in the blog post, we’ve mentioned all the new features that will arrive with the One UI 4.0. Features like improved privacy and security, lock screen widgets, and better AR Emojis are all expected to come in One UI’s latest version.

Top 4.0 Features
Updates in Camera and Microphone access
You’ll get indicators while any app tries to use the camera and microphone of your device. New privacy limitations are introduced in Android 12 for users. Also, new buttons in the panel have been added to off or block the camera and microphone access to the applications used by the users.

Inclusion of New Media Output Option
Users are now allowed to connect and modify the music or movie audio playing easily. And the volume controls will not impact the other apps functionality.

Updated Widgets
The users will get the updated widgets, updated icons, home screen, and color palette with this update. ...
... And on the single view, users will get to see more information and recommendations. You’ll also see the updated widgets selection menu that offers a list of all the available widgets.

Improved Editing Tools
An updated editing tool, “Object Eraser,” lets users choose any in-picture item and let the users change or erase the specific area in the selected picture.

Improved and Safe Battery life
With the new 4.0 UI, you’ll get a cap on charging. Now users can access the new device care section and select the “Protect Battery” option. And it will charge your device a maximum of 85% and will not put the overcharging strain on the device.

Third-Party Apps Accessible Now
Now, the third-party apps will be available for the android based One UI 4.0. But to install these this-party app icons, you need to have Samsung’s Good lock app.

Permission Usage History Improvement
There has been improvement in the settings where you see the permission app access for the camera, microphone, and location. You have the option to pick the apps that can track your location.

Lock Screen Changes
You will see the voice recorder widget on the lock screen. And it will let users create voice memos without unlocking the phone. This will also allow faster and easier voice recordings on your phone. The Samsung also includes a calendar widget to the lock screen, which will help users record their important events of the month.

Privacy Dashboard Availability
Now the Samsung users will have the Privacy Dashboard, which is available on Android 12 and only for the Pixel. Also, with this feature, Samsung has added a message box that permits you to accept notifications while using some specific apps.

Flashing Alerts for All the applications
This feature will work only when your phone is unlocked. Users can customize the flash alerts by using the camera flash or the screen flash. When you receive the notification from any of the apps, use the full-screen color flash and search which of the app provided the quick message.

More rounded edges
This is a minor update, but yes, the Samsung users will have a rounded and uniform image while watching the movies in the picture-in-picture mode.

Updated Camera UI
The camera has been updated in One UI 4.0. You’ll see the lock video recording option to experience the faster video recording. One more feature that came with the UI 4.0 is the Pro video option, and it will let you see the more visible texts in the videos.

Brightness Slider Improvement
Now, the users have one-hand access to the brighter slider. And is now more prominent and more suggestive. You’ll also see an Extra dim option that permits users to lower the display brightness rapidly.

Animated Stickers Usage
With this One UI, 4.0 users can now use the animated emojis present on the keyboard. And even the GIF option is also available for the users.
