Today, we're excited to announce our partnership with Neeva, the only ad-free, private search engine in our new version Vivaldi 4.2, on both desktop and Android. Neeva and Vivaldi share a desire to build privacy-friendly products that put people first, so we're pleased to welcome this new search player into the Vivaldi browser.

"We're proud to partner with Neeva who shares our vision for building a better web experience that puts you first. Neeva and Vivaldi also give you the power over your data, committed to never selling or sharing it with anyone."
Jon von Tetzchner, Co-founder and CEO of Vivaldi.

What's the Neeva difference?

Neeva is the brainchild of ex-Google executives, who had a vision of giving users a better way to search and experience the internet. Neeva only shows you true search results - no ads or affiliate links. And, because Neeva runs on a subscription model, they are accountable only to their users, not advertisers.

As a company that has always championed your right to privacy, Vivaldi supports Neeva's mission to provide people more choice - a way to opt out of search ...
... engines that profit off their privacy, without sacrificing quality. And we're happy to help make this product available to more people by integrating it into the Vivaldi browser.

While some may balk at the idea of paying for a search engine, the truth is that we have all been paying for search with our attention, clicks, and private data. Neeva's subscription model ensures that they can deliver a truly customer-centered experience, since they don't need to rely on ad revenue or selling customer profile data. The result is better, real search results without a privacy trade-off.

And Neeva's success as a search engine will deliver other benefits for users and the web in general. This is because they take a strong pro-publisher stance and are committed to creating revenue opportunities for content creators, thus helping to foster the content ecosystem.

"We're excited about our partnership with Vivaldi, given their long-standing commitment to privacy and providing a better web experience. At its heart, Vivaldi is about giving users choice and control. By adding Neeva as a default search engine, Vivaldi is giving their users a new, privacy-friendly option that's completely ad free."
Sridhar Ramaswamy, CEO and Co-Founder of Neeva.

Sound good? Here's how to get Neeva on Vivaldi.

The initial, limited rollout means that Neeva is now available as default integrated search-engine option only for Vivaldi users on desktop and Android in the United States. Stay tuned to hear when it will be available in your area.

To get Neeva for Vivaldi on desktop or Android, we recommend you start by signing up for a Neeva account first here. (Early adopters get the first 3 months free, then it's $4.95/mo.) Then, go to Settings > Search and select Neeva from the Default Search Engine drop-down menu. If you aren't already signed into Neeva when searching, you will be briefly directed to a sign in page before getting your search results.

Try Neeva in Vivaldi 4.2 today for a new ad-free search experience!
