Brainstorming is a technique through which we can find potential to a given problem. In most cases, brainstorming involves a group headed by a facilitator. A session of the technique involves an informal and alleviated approach to creative thinking. Brainstorming also helps in building enthusiasm and further generates a large number of ideas in lesser time. 1. Figuring Storming
This technique of brainstorming makes you put yourself in someone else’s shoes and think like that person. Think about how someone like a famous celebrity would do in that situation. 3. Round Robin Brainstorming
The teams or participants form a circle in this technique. Every person in the circle gets a chance to share their idea. At the same time, the facilitator records all the ideas and after everyone’s had their turn, there takes place a discussion on each of the ideas. It allows all of the members to participate, even an introvert or shy ones.
4. Starbusting
This type of brainstorming technique follows a question-oriented approach rather than an answer-oriented. It challenges the participants to form as many questions on the topic as possible. 5. Stepladder Technique
In this technique of brainstorming, a core team is made initially of 2 people, who start discussing the problem. Then members keep getting added to the group one by one, and present their ideas. With each new member, comes a new idea. This helps in preventing the dominance of any one member and gives every member an opportunity to speak for themselves.

6. Free Writing
In this method, you take a piece of paper and jot down all the ideas in your mind. This method is helpful when you have no or too many ideas on a particular topic. It helps you in considering new ideas for the topic that you might have ignored previously.
7. Clustering
This technique of brainstorming allows the person to write down all the ideas in a mapping or a flow chart way. It is helpful in situations where you don’t have any clear idea, but many different ones. It is mainly used while establishing a relationship between various ideas. This brainstorming method is an excellent way of recording the existing ideas and stimulating new ones from the existing ones.
8. Listing/Bulleting
As the name suggests, this technique of brainstorming involves making a list of all the ideas related to the topic and then a sub-list of each topic. Then you can further make sub-lists of the sub-list to be more detailed about each topic.
9. T-diagram
In this brainstorming method, you are supposed to make a T-diagram. This is helpful when you are comparing between two topics or two ideas. It helps you to draw a conclusion easily.

10. Spoke Diagram
This technique of brainstorming helps you to analyze the causes and effects of a given topic. You have to write the topic in a circle and then write its causes and effects around the topic in a circle like spokes. It helps you to explore more about the topic.
