Millennials Love Ridesharing
Millennials, the group of individuals born between 1981 and 1996, love ridesharing. And, it’s not just because they are internet, app, smartphone, gadget, and social media savvy, though those traits certainly help. They’re smart and figured out the advantages ridesharing offers. Other generations can learn from this knowledgeable group of people. So, let’s look into why they like ridesharing.
Millennials Don’t Have Money
Cash, that is. They don’t carry it around. Most of them use credit/debit cards or some kind of smartphone app to pay for what they like to do. Ridesharing services use smartphone ridesharing apps and payment is made through the app. No cash required.
Millennials Don’t Own Cars
At least a large percentage don’t. Unlike other generations, they don’t see cars representing status. Ridesharing allows them to easily go anywhere they want, at an affordable rate, without having to worry about parking or paying for insurance. Plus, ridesharing lessens the amount of cars on the road and also cares for the environment – millennials like that, too.
Millennials ...
... are Spontaneous
They love making decisions at the last minute. And, as previously mentioned, they can leave whenever they want should they decide they are not having fun. And, if one member wants to go somewhere else, they can. It’s a total win-win situation.
Millennials are Social Creatures
Also unlike other generations, millennials treasure experiences over belongings. Rideshares allow them to dive into and enjoy their surroundings. And, because they’re so good at tech, they can just push a few buttons on their smartphones and viola, they’re off to the next event or exploring a new gallery. Oftentimes, all in one day.
Millennials Have Fun Responsibly
While millennials enjoy partying, they do so safely, which means they do not drive intoxicated. Ridesharing means just that. Those who use ridesharing specifically state they do so to avoid driving intoxicated. Everyone should copy at least this one millennial trend.
