The Home Office introduced the ‘Start-up visa UK’ effective from April 2019. In several respects, the start-up visa replaces the Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur visa. The Start-up visa category is best fitted to prospective entrepreneurs with no previous business experience. Applicants under this route don't require any funds to take a position in their business at this stage.

Applicants who were in Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) category before it closed may have to be endorsed for his or her second year within the Start-up category. If are an equivalent endorsing body as in their previous Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) application, you are doing not got to confirm that their business idea meets the standards above. Instead, your endorsement must confirm that they still have a real and credible business venture (as required under the previous category).
Applicants who have completed two years on the start-up visa can then apply for Innovator visa if they are eligible or switch to other visa routes that they may have eligibility for.
