It has been said time and time again as it is true; that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. A meal you begin your hectic day with has to be filling giving your the right amount of nutrition in every aspect and category, for you to have an efficiently functioning day. The world agrees with the statement above but each region has their own ‘breakfast meal’ that may look and taste different depending on where you're from. In the western world of the United States of America, it is not at all out of the ordinary to cook up and indulge in a stack of flapjack pancakes smeared with maple syrup along with streaky bacon on the side. It may sound delicious for a morning meal, but it is wildly different from Thailand's take on a breakfast meal that includes fish or pork as the protein along with rice as the carbs on the side.

We’ve all got a different palette and preferences when it comes to breakfast meals, but there’s nothing wrong with trying the morning flavours of the world around you. That’s what makes it interesting. You also have to keep in ...
... mind that the breakfast meals you’re about to read on, are not the only things the people particular to that place have in the mornings. But they are the most widespread across the specific region and are hence globally known as well.

England
The most nutritionally filling breakfast meal out of the lot - a full-fledged English breakfast comes fully loaded with everything you need to get your day started. A proper one includes beans, sausages, streaky bacon, eggs, mushrooms, hash browns, toast, and a cup of tea. Yes, that’s a meal… for one person. And an absolutely delicious one as well. So if you’re looking to savour a proper breakfast as well as use it as fuel for your body, nothing tops the Brits. And so you’ll probably find a similar theme being followed by quite a few other countries as well.

America
The next powerhouse meal you’ll find on a table would be in the United States of America. Bacon and eggs are would either the main star or a part of each and every breakfast meal around the country. Usually paired up with some delicious maple syrup-soaked flapjack pancakes topped with some berries and a cup of coffee to go along with. Fairly easy to consume by one person as compared to the English breakfast, the American one is a must try and easy to make yourself as well. Buy bacon online or from the supermart and prep your eggs your preferred way, and voila - you’re good to go!

Iran
Naan bread with a spread of butter and jam is the staple breakfast meal in the country of Iran. Quite the light choice, but if you want to go the heavy route when the light one just isn't going to hit the spot, Iranians go for halim. Similar to the khichda dish that’s popular within the Muslim community in India, Halim is a mixture of wheat, cinnamon, butter and sugar that is all mushed up and cooked with shredded meat in massive pots. The best part about this dish is you can eat it either hot or cold.

Australia
Simplicity is key - ever heard of this phrase? Well, the Australians sure did, and they took it very seriously when it came to breakfast. Vegemite, a salty spread and toasted bread… that’s it. That’s all an average Australian eats for breakfast and surprisingly it does the nutritional job it has to as well.

Tibet
Debatably the birthplace of the globally popular dish - momos (dumplings), you cannot start your days without jumping into a meal of momos. Tracing its roots all the way back to the Tibetan nation, the momos ready to eat come stuffed with pork, chicken or shrimp, wrapped up in dough that is then steamed to perfection. The dish is served with sauces and other condiments, and one’s guaranteed to not be able to stop at just one of these bite-sized pieces of magic.

India
Now here’s where it gets tricky. There’s no one common breakfast meal that’s eaten in the country of India. Full of different cultures and languages, the diversity trickles down into the food making every local meal unique to its region. From poha, parathas, pooris, chole bhature in the north to upma, uttapam, idlis and dosas in the south... who exactly in their right mind would want to skip breakfast in India with so much variety to choose from?
