Motoelite’s lubricating oils, also known as lubricants, are a class of oils used to reduce friction, heat and wear when mechanical components come into contact with each other. Automotive lubricants play four important roles: they control friction and wear on the engine, they protect the engine from rust, they cool the pistons and they protect the engine oil from the combustion gases that are stored in the swamp. Engine oil, sometimes referred to as Motoelite engine oil, is one of the many types of lubricants available for a wide variety of machinery used in various industries.

The primary task of oil-filtered lubrication is to ensure that engine components move smoothly while minimising friction and component wear. This is done by reducing blown engine vibrations and providing an oil lubrication cushion.
