Grass fed meat is a type of meat that comes from animals raised on grass or other natural vegetation. Grass fed beef, for instance, can be found at most grocery stores. It's different than grain-fed meat because it has more healthy fats and nutrients like Omega 3s which will make you feel better and stronger! Make sure to read this post so you know why eating grass-finished beef is such a good idea!

The animal's diet must only contain 100% forage, meaning they are not given any grains at all. They can be allowed to graze and eat whatever they want in their surrounding environment, which will give them more healthy fats like Omega-threes than grain-fed beef! This means you have access to the best quality meats with little downside.

Grass finished beef has better omega fatty acids due to its higher ratio of polyunsaturated fat compared to consumption levels of saturated fat found in grain finishing diets (for example) cows are usually fed corn during this process). Grain feeding creates an unhealthy amount of saturated fat.

Grass ...
... finished beef cows will usually have a higher ratio of omega-threes and omega-sixes, which is the healthy kind compared to the unhealthy amount found in grain fed cows. There are also fewer instances of E Coli contamination (E Coli bacteria can be traced back to sugar beet pulp).

"Grassfed meat is much healthier than grain fed cows because it contains less unhealthy fats such as Omega-sixes which can convert to arachidonic acid. Grain based feeds also contain higher levels of omega-three fatty acids (but the body needs more polyunsaturated fat), so grass finishing diets typically contain large amounts of beta carotene, vitamin A, selenium, zinc, copper, etc., whereas a typical feedlot diet would not provide any variety like this! The long-term effects of a diet high in sugar beets, soybeans, and corn are not yet fully understood."

Conclusion

Grass fed meat is healthier than grain-fed, but the benefits of grass fed beef go beyond just nutrition. This type of meat has been shown to have higher levels of omega 3 and other essential nutrients that are important for our health.
