Initially the logo was just an emblem in black and white back in the year 1903. The logo we see today was introduced in 1912. In the 1970s, the blue in the logo was redesigned a bit by giving it a 3D effect.

Back in the 1960s, the famous logo designer Paul Rand who was hired by Henry Ford II presented a different version of the logo which was rejected by Henry Ford II, saying that the logo was too modern.
