1. Damaged or removed installation of MS Outlook Express might result in this behavior. Both the applications i.e. MS Outlook and MS Outlook Express share some common files and therefore, you need to reinstall Outlook Express to fix this issue.

2. If your Outlook PST file is damaged, get rid of the damaged PST file from your Outlook profile and create a new PST file. To extract data from damaged PST file, you need to use restore PST tool.

3. Damaged contacts saved in the distribution list can also result in this issue. You need to find the same, delete the damaged contacts and recreate the distribution list.
