Visit Sundarbans is a leading inbound operator of tourism and related services in West Bengal. Sundarbans other than being the biggest mangrove forest is also a cluster of Islands with innumerable villages which are not yet very developed with very little opportunity of employment for the inhabitants. As per our commitment towards the village community we along with an NGO Development Action Society started an initiative to provide employment to these marginalized families. Mostly the ladies of these families are provided with training by Development Association society(DAS) in stitching of these eco friendly bags and the sewing machines. The designing and marketing of these bags are a small part of our contribution. We seek to contribute towards these villagers as well as placing these eco friendly biodegradable option as an alternative to the menace of using plastic as a packing and carrying option. We are making an effort to positively influence at least 300 such women to earn independently.
