Suddenly are you finding it difficult to work? Is there a constant nagging pain in your heels? Can you identify the pain? Are you able to identify why you are having this pain? Well most of us don’t have answers to these questions. Research shows that when the podiatrist asks these questions to the patients they don’t have any suitable answer. All they can come up with are vague points. If you are experiencing any of the above, then there is a high chance that you are suffering from heel pain. You should book your appointment with the podiatrist immediately and should get yourself checked thoroughly. Explain to him in details about the pain that you are experiencing. It is important that the podiatrist is well aware about the condition so that he can deal with it. He is the one who is going to suggest the heel pain treatment. It is important that you undergo the treatment so that you don’t end up limping in the future.

Wondering what are the Common Heel Pain Treatments?

There are many actually. And the best part ...
... is that you can do all of them at home. You don’t have to spend huge amounts of money or hire an instructor to get back in shape. The solutions are simple, easy to follow and extremely effective.

Start with stretching exercises. They are great for heel pain. There are many stretching exercise videos in YouTube that you can check out anytime, as per your convenience. Select a set of exercises that you would like to try and do that at home.
Wear splinters on your feet at night before you hit the bed. The splinter will stretch your feet and will give it the desired application. The next morning when you get up your feet will feel better and the pain will be less as well.
Take two buckets, put cold water in one and warm water in one. Soak your feet in the cold water and then put it in the warm water. Repeat this several times so as to reduce the inflammation. You can also use ice packs and hot water bags if you don’t want to soak your feet in the water. Alternate the ice packs and hot water bags on your feet in order to get the desired results.
Stop wearing heels. Get rid of shoes that make you uncomfortable. Make the change today and shift to comfortable sneakers or doctor shoes so that you don’t feel the pain when you walk.
Start wearing slippers whenever you are at home. You should never walk barefoot at any point of time. Walking barefoot aggravates the pain and you will find it difficult to walk properly.
Do not sit with your feet hanging in the air. This will increase the pain. Whenever you are sitting make sure that your feet are touching the ground. This way you will be able to keep balance and the pain will not increase.

All the above-mentioned heel pain treatments can be done at home any time you want. Try them out for two-three months at a stretch in order to see desirable results. You have to be at it in order to see the change. Don’t expect any change overnight. It is not going to happen. Take proper care of your feet if you wish to recover soon. Follow all the instructions of the podiatrist. Do not overlook them. In case of any confusion, feel free to discuss it out with the podiatrist. He is there to guide and advise you in the best possible way.
