UGC NET 2021 May Examination for the December cycle has been postponed. National Testing Agency, NTA has notified its decision to postpone the UGC NET 2021 May examination which was scheduled to begin from May 2.

Releasing the notice, NTA took to Twitter to announce the decision in view of the present COVID situation in the country. It is announced by NTA that, the new dates, it adds, would be announced at least 15 days before the examination.

Lakhs of candidates have registered for the UGC NET 2021 May examinations. UGC NET examinations for the December cycle are postponed and are being conducted in May. The scheduled examination date was from May 2, 2021. This, however, now stands postponed.

As per the notice, the new dates for the examination would be informed by NTA at least 15 days ahead of the exam. In other words, if the exam were to begin from June 1, then NTA would inform the date by May 15 latest.

What are the new or revised UGC NET exam dates?

Regarding the revised dates for the exam, it has been mentioned in the Public Notice that it will be announced later. The NTA claims in the public notice that aspirants will be informed at least 15 days before the examination.

Step 3: Appear for UGC NET exam

Next, candidates need to appear for UGC NET exam. UGC NET is a computer-based test that consists of two papers - I and II. Both the papers contain objective-type questions that candidates need to complete in a duration of three hours.

Step 4: Check UGC NET result

NTA declares UGC NET result on its official website as per the prescribed schedule. The result contains the roll number and status (qualified for Assistant Professor only or both JRF and Assistant Professor) of candidates qualifying the National Eligibility Test.

Visit the official website: ntanet.nic.in
Check for the link ‘UGC NET Admit Card download’ and click on it.
You will be redirected to the candidates’ sign-in page.
Enter the application number, password, and security pin to login.
Once logged in, you can download the same and take a printout for future reference.
You can download/ print your admit card now from the option available on the screen.
