Sore throat can be diversified into three types, depending on the area of the infection inside the throat area. Those three are,
PHARYNGITIS: When the infection happens behind the area of the throat, it is called pharyngitis.
TONSILLITIS: Swelling and redness of the tonsils will form a soft tissue behind the throat. This is tonsillitis.
LARYNGITIS: When swelling and redness of the voice box happens, it is known as laryngitis.
It is important to understand that not all throat pains are sore throats. Sore throats will develop over a period of time, where the individual will struggle for food intake. Additionally, they could also struggle to talk because of the pain caused by sore throat. Along with the sore throat issue, one might experience cough, fever, chills, body aches, and head aches.

SALT WATER: Salt water might not produce immediate effect, but they are one of the efficient ways to deal with sore throat. Gargling a pinch of salt with 8 ounces of water will produce relief to your throat. It is one of the natural sore throat remedies.
HONEY: Honey is another sore throat remedy, which lowers the inflammation upon consumption. Once the inflammation reduces, it helps the throat clean up and chuck out the throat infection.
LEMON: This might come as a surprise to you, but lemon is indeed working well to treat sore throat. They break up mucus and pack with Vitamin C to boost the immune system. Mixing one teaspoon of honey with warm water could do the trick for the sore throat.
HOT SAUCE: This might sound strange, but hot sauce is one of the best ways to solve the sore throat. Made from pepper, hot sauce it will fight inflammation and put an end to the sore throat. Dropping a few drops of hot sauce into the warm water will ameliorate the throat pain.
TEA: One of the herbal ways to improve the sore throat is the usage of tea. They contain anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties to fight inflammation and relieving pain. Peppermint tea and raspberry are some of the teas used to fight sore throats.
These are some of the sore throat treatments as well. Otherwise, it is vital to follow the sore throat medicine prescribed by the doctor. Blood tests could be required when the individual suffers tonsillitis. Post that, sore throat medicines will ensure that the throat will function properly without any throat problems.
