What Are The Causes Of Lymphoma, Symptoms
Lymphoma is a type of cancer that occurs in infection-fighting cells of the immune system. Which are called lymphocytes. These cells occur in our lymph nodes, spleen, thymus, bone marrow and other parts of the body. When you suffer from lymphoma, lymphocytes begin to change rapidly and grow uncontrollably.
There are many types of lymphoma, but there are two main ones - Hodgkins lymphoma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

The cause of lymphoma is still unknown. While some people are more likely to do it based on the facts. There are some risk factors, on the basis of which it can be said that a person has more chances of getting lymphoma. This depends on the factor age as well as other medical conditions.

If you are 60 or older.
If you are male
If your immune system is weakened by HIV / AIDS, organ transplant, or you are suffering from an autoimmune disease.
If you have any disease associated with the immune system such as rheumatism etc.
If you are infected with viruses such as Epstein-Barr, Hepatitis C, Human T-Cell Leukemia / Lymphoma (HTLV-1) or Human Herpes Virus 8 (HHV8).
If any of your close relatives had lymphoma.
If you were exposed to other chemicals like benzene that kill insects and weeds.
If you have been treated with Hodgkin or non-Hodgkin lymphoma in the past.
If you have been given radiation therapy to treat cancer.
If you are overweight.
How is lymphoma diagnosed?
Doctors will examine the body for diagnosis of lymphoma, especially in areas with lymph nodes examined. Doctors will also discuss medical history and ask about symptoms.
If your lymph nodes are swollen and the doctor thinks it is due to cancer, they will remove the entire lymph node or part of it for examination. Which will be able to know whether it has cancer cells or not. To examine cancer cells, lymph node biopsy is required.
If the doctor wants to know how far the lymphoma has spread, a sample of your bone marrow, a bone marrow, is taken with a needle in a biopsy. This specimen is viewed with a microscope and it is examined whether the lymphoma has spread to the bone marrow.
Doctors also perform X-rays, MRIs to check your body parts and other structures.
Molecular tests are done to see if there is any change in genes, proteins and other substances in your cancer cells. This determines the type of lymphoma you have.
How is lymphoma treated?
Depending on what type of lymphoma you have, the doctor may choose treatment for you.
If you have non-Hodgkin lymphoma, you may be asked for chemotherapy. Which means that drugs will be used to kill cancer cells. Radiation therapy - It uses high-energy rays to destroy cancer cells. Immunotherapy stimulates your body's immune system to attack cancer cells.
If you have Hodgkin lymphoma, your treatment may be chemotherapy and radiation therapy. However, such treatments may not eliminate your disease, so doctors may suggest stem cell transplantation. In which you are given a very high dose of chemotherapy to destroy the cancer cells first. The side effect of this is that it also affects the stem cells of your bone marrow.
