Recruitment agencies and manpower outsourcing firm plays a crucial role in today’s highly competitive job market. These agencies have been bridging the gap between employers and potential candidates. Despite many candidates applying for a particular job, it isn't easy to get the perfect candidate for a specific job role. This is where these agencies come to rescue. There is an innumerable number of candidates searching for jobs or looking to switch over for better prospects. However, it is important for the agencies to choose the right candidate for the right post. Therefore, the role that the recruitment agencies play is not that easy as it might sound.
Recruitment process
Recruitment of manpower is a time-consuming process. Right from posting an advertisement for a job vacancy to shortlisting the candidates, interviewing them, and then finally selecting the best, it takes plenty of effort and time. Once the candidate is chosen for the job, the salary negotiation and joining formalities must be completed.
Nowadays, candidates are extremely professional and know their ...
... worth in the job market. They are particular about their credentials and know how to bargain for designations and salary packages. Once the salary and other terms and conditions are agreed upon, a notice period's pricky issue must be dealt with. Candidates need to serve anywhere between one to three months’ notice period in their present job. It is a standard HR policy that an employee needs to serve the required notice period from the date they resign from the company's services.
Many candidates often back out after taking the offer letter from the prospective company.   These situations arise when the candidate's present employer offers a matching salary or more compared to the offer letter in hand. This matching offer influences the employee to take back the resignation and continue with their existing employers.
Pros and Cons of taking back resignation
This kind of situation has both pros and cons for the employee. The positive aspect is that they continue in the familiar job environment with enhanced salary and need not start all over again in a new setup. The flip side is that having once resigned from the services of a company, it is not prudent to stay back as it diminishes the self-worth of the employee.   For the recruiting company, it is a setback in their recruitment process, starting all over again in search of a suitable candidate.
Recruitment agencies - saves time and effort
Advertisements on job portals or print media are expensive and time-consuming. Many candidates do not position themselves publicly to look for jobs. They would rather have a trusted and committed relationship with a manpower recruitment agency in Malaysia that does the networking and identifying appropriate jobs for them.  These manpower recruitment agencies have a team of specialists who have the expertise and network in the job market. Based on their network they help candidates to get a preferred job. They have a talent pool of candidates who are thoroughly identified, scrutinized for the expected job role and matched to the hiring company's recruitment for the final interview.
