Microsoft Outlook is a complete package to perform a lot of email and content management functions. Using Outlook, one can easily create and manage emails, contacts, calendar, tasks, notes, etc. Outlook is not just an email solution. Today, it has become a core application of the businesses. However, if you consider that Outlook is nothing more than an email client is then you are wrong. Here, you know that Outlook is much more than the email client is.

1. You may generally need to create emails with the same content every time you need it. For example, you need to create email to request clients' testimonials, saying thanks to the sender, etc. Creating email with the same content every time you need it only waste your time. Therefore, Outlook has been embedded with a feature through which you can create a template for the same email. And, next time when you need to create the email, just open the template, add the address, and send it. This way you can save your time.

2. There are some tasks that you need to perform so many times in a day. Just add those tasks in the recurring list and save your time.

3. Meetings and project deadlines are most important for you. Nobody will like to miss a meeting or deadline of a project. Outlook helps you to do this by providing the follow-up appointments feature. Just add your meetings, etc. in the follow up list and Outlook will inform you about the added task at the specified time. Thus, you will not miss any meeting.

4. Finding an email among thousands of emails can be the most tedious and time consuming task for the users. You can use the Outlook's filter feature to find out the specific email. Moreover, you can create a rule so that the Outlook will automatically put the incoming emails to their respective folders based on the rule.

These are some of the features that make Outlook much more than the email client. To avail these features with the simplicity of Outlook's graphical user interface, most of the users of Lotus Notes are switching to MS Outlook. However, switching from Lotus Notes to Outlook requires the use of email migration software. The Lotus Notes to Outlook email migration software effectively converts the .nsf file into .pst file so that the emails, notes, contacts, etc. stored in the .nsf file can be accessed with Outlook.
