Once you signed in to your Microsoft 365 account, you will get the new Microsoft Search box situated at the upper portion of your Office apps in Microsoft 365.

How to Get Started with Microsoft Search?
You can get your desired content, document, or file by entering your search input. After some time, Microsoft will suggest some results based on your earlier activity in Microsoft 365.
In order to get search suggestions, you can tap the search bar once. The suggested items will appear on your device’s screen in the most recently searched order. For instance, you can see the suggested searching of your presentation that you started yesterday. Therefore, Microsoft Search provides a quick way to get back on the topic or work you were working on.
In case you like to see the details of the suggested search entries, click any of them.
Get the Results
If the suggested searching doesn’t display the item you want to access, you can use the Search Result History page by hitting the Enter key. You will find many search results there.

If you use Search in Microsoft Bing, Office.com, or the SharePoint Start page, you will be able to get much information about a particular person just by typing their name into the search box.
It will be better if you use the complete name of the person, but if you enter only a part of the person’s name, it will provide you with the best matching results according to your search entry.
Getting Latest Files or Document You Were Working on
You can easily get your most recently used files and documents using any search tool like SharePoint, Bing, and Office.com. Here are some of the prominent instructions if you want to fetch some information or recent file you were working on:
First of all, search for “my files,” followed by hitting the Enter key.
Now, you will see recently used 10 of the documents of files on which you were working in recent times.
You can easily search for the particular file or a person. For instance, “Daisy Filip Files” followed by tapping the Enter key on the keyboard.
Now, you will get the list of options that the person has shared with you.
Getting Important Files Related to Your Organization
You can easily access bookmarked tools, information, files, and other resources of your organization. So, it becomes easy for you to get the same. They can also describe answers to common questions related to your organization as well as locations that people want to search for. If your Microsoft search thinks that the particular content best matches your search query, you will get it right on your device just at the upper section of the search result page.
You can also find various things like “IT support,” “HR,” etc. You will be also able to search for useful tips and instructions related to your query like “change password.” After a while, the appropriate options will display on your device’s screen.
Content Viewing Permissions Based on Microsoft Searching
If you have permitted your files to be available for others, other users can see the same. It will display in their search results.
