Many folks believe that ethos logos pathos, terms 1st coined by the Greek philosopher Aristotle, could be a crucial part for developing persuasive writing skills. While these are Greek words, their meanings are familiar in our everyday lives and to teach students how to understand and apply these principles, boarding school in Dehradun familiarize students with the definition of ethos, pathos and logos at an early age.
To deliver attributes means to possess a moral meaning and appeal to one's character.

The good in the ethos
The basic plan is that if the audience believes a speaker encompasses a smart, moral character, good sense and good can, they'll be additionally believable. So as to achieve this, girls residential schools instruct students how words should be chosen carefully, that isn't invariably an easy task. Practice and guidance are needed to assure that the intent of the speaker comes through. Any paper can replicate its writer through everything ...
... from properly verifying facts to using correct grammar and spelling.

Relating to logic
Although society favours logic, there are still many that can tune out ideas that sound overly technical. Therefore, once logos are employed, it should be employed in a way that an audience will relate to. To demonstrate this, Aristotle presented logical conversations by using syllogisms. A simple deduction applicable to Aristotle's time was: "All men are mortal. Socrates could be a man. Therefore, Socrates is mortal."
While this truth is apparent, it's not always the case for all logical arguments. Within the fourteenth century, the plague was 1st believed to be caused by cats. However, once cats were killed, the matter worsened. Finally, the source of the problem was fleas on rats, thus having fewer cats to kill the rats caused the situation to worsen.
While starting with absolute truth is preferable, it's not invariably practical. At times, errors are necessary so as to seek out the truth, and therefore the mistake about the cats was the primary step to finding the truth reason for the plague. For many students writing a paper or a speech, the implications of beginning with a faulty assumption won't be so severe. Still, logos have to partner with an ethos to administer each hypothesis as much integrity as possible.

Making it matter
Perhaps nobody understands better than a young student that all the truth, logic, and ethical "rightness" of thought or scenario is unimportant if no one cares. Here is where pathos comes into play. Once a student has a passion for a problem or idea, it's easier to find correct evidence and logical support for an argument.
In the past, problems such as the holocaust and civil rights fueled ideas that led to action. Often, it's pathos which will create a paper or speech more persuasive. While not pathos, these moral assertions and logical conclusions become mere words.

Ancient ways, modern applications
Of course, as necessary because it is for students to be told the way to write their annotated 6-8 page paper or how to offer an effective speech, the application of ethos logos pathos doesn't get to be constricted. It's not uncommon for students to think "Greek" and conclude that the ideas could also be old and outdated. But, the very fact that the ideas of ethos logos pathos have remained prominent for more than 2100 years lends testament to their validity.
