When a designer asks me where to start in the whole production process, I always say two things:
Review your checklist before producing it.
Create a tech pack.
Once you know you are ready to work with a factory, research the factories that make sense for your brand, and engage in dialogue, all you have to do is use your tech pack to your factory show.
Tech packs are the things we are all sure we have to give our factories, but we are not sure exactly what they mean.
You don’t want to motivate him with this. Incorrect information in your tech pack may result in incorrect sample completion. This means that tech packs are an extremely important tool for the fashion business while sharing designs and specs with the pattern maker and the factory.
The more data you can provide, the less likely you are to get an error. The clearer your question is, the less likely it is to be misunderstood. The more you write, the less likely you are to be financially responsible for making corrections.
First page
The cover sheet contains the basic front and rear views of the style. These sketches should ...
... be white or clear and should not contain paint or print. Sketches can be generated on a computer, drawn by hand, or photographed. An important concept to keep in mind is to ensure that the image is proportionate and clean, which means that it should not be styled.
Inspiration page
The inspiration page contains all the images that helped create the original style. If you want the factory to be the source of the model, factory images can help create the model and achieve the desired aesthetic for the designer. Inspirational images can include full dresses or detailed images, e.g. B. Wallet or collar closed. You may also need an explanation as to why the inspirational image is important for conveying the proper look of the image with style.

Side label
The Callout page indicates the type of construction and design details that will be used in the construction of the garment. Make sure you use the arrows to clearly show what type of construction will be used and where. Also, make sure the factory understands any special terms or acronyms that can be used to abbreviate words.
Print the fabric placement page
The fabric placement page indicates where you want to print the fabric and/or. The front and back sketch of the color style is for a color key at the bottom. This color wrench makes it very easy to distinguish the placement required for each type of fabric. The prints could also be used to indicate the location of fabrics; the points are like fabric, and the fabric is stripes. Make sure you clearly label the key.
Colorway page
The colorway page identifies the colors to be used in the design. The current tab layout includes several fields for entering color information. Grids can be easily copied and pasted to create multiple fields of information. Each color area has sections for the color name, color number, and color swap. The color number can be a Pantone color number or an original number
Number
If more information is needed, simply change the format so that each information field has more columns. This page may also contain inks if you do not want the design to be monochrome. A full-scale print may be requested and/or replaced with a color key to identify each color in the font.
Parts list
The parts list page;
The parts list consists of all the materials used to manufacture the garment. There are five main sections in this tab: fabrics, trimmings, labels, and packaging.
In each section, five types of information are identified
Page back
The folding side indicates how the garment should be folded and packed. This package is then sent to the desired destination. This page should contain a series of sketches showing the step-by-step process of folding and packing a shirt. Each sketch is described for easy reference. If sketches cannot be made, a series of detailed photos with explanations would be an acceptable alternative. A report without supporting pictures can also be used, but the explanations must be very clear and easy to understand.
Label placement side
The label placement page explains what type of label to use in the product and where to place it. Remember that the material the labels are made of is in the bill of materials.

Proto side
The proto-specifications page describes the steps taken to develop the model and the first suitable example. The diagram has five columns of information.
The POM is how each part of the style should be measured to make sure the garment or bag is the right size and fits properly.
The report describes how and what should be measured concerning the POM code. It should be specific enough to repeat the point and how the point is measured. The acronym for "High Point of Shoulder" (HPS) is widely used. Most vertical measurements are measured by HPS and should be considered in the description.
Missing values indicate the actual measurements from which the garment or bag is to be developed. If you are unsure what measurement should be, the column can be left blank and a note sent to the factory to determine the measurement required. The specification can be measured and compiled during the first adjustment.
The tolerance (+/-) indicates that the maximum permitted measurement is larger or smaller than the requested measurement. This number is very important during production so that the product specifications are permissible in the measuring range.
Comments are used to add important notes.
First page specifications
The 1st Page Fit Specs contains all specific information about the first suitable development example. Includes all five columns of information in the protocol specification and adds the following columns:
The Actual column is where the appropriate sample measurements are entered so that they can be visually compared to the required specifications.
In the Revision column, you can enter the measurements that are to be carried out for the next sample or production.
Second measure for specifications
The second page of the customization specifications is the same as the first page of the customization specifications, except that the required column is drawn on that page.
Comments on the first page
The first page "Adjust traffic" contains all necessary corrections to the first corresponding example. The suitability and structure of the product should be reviewed and commented on. All cards that were involved in the development and creation of the first appropriate sample must also be reviewed to ensure that all aspects of the product are being followed correctly.

Comments on the second page
The second page "Adjust Fit Traffic" corresponds exactly to the first page "Fit Traffic" and detects adjustment and design errors.
