How To Measure Dip Tube Length Before Ordering Trigger Sprayers And Pump Sprayers?

Several public and private facilities across the globe have adopted a cautious approach towards general hygiene since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Apart from making sure that standard cleaning practices are followed daily, organizations worldwide are also procuring trigger sprayers and pump sprayers for disinfecting their premises.
However, estimating the recommended length of sprayer dip tube could turn out to be a rather tricky business, particularly if you’ve never done that before. In this blog, we’re going to discuss how to find out the optimal length of dip tube for ensuring the best performance of your sprayers.
Calculating Prefer red Dip Tube Length Before Ordering Pump Sprayers and Trigger Sprayers
There’s already enough ambiguity in the commercial packaging business concerning dip tube lengths of pump sprayers and Trigger Sprayers. For instance, one brand’s three-inch-long dip tube might be equivalent to two-inch of another. It may become difficult to find a universal standard!
If ...
... you carefully go through the following steps before order placement, you’d have no difficulty in calculating the required dip tube length.
1. Locate the gasket top
Start by marking the apex of your gasket.
2.Compute the total length of your dip tube
Begin your measurement from the uppermost point of the gasket and proceed until you’ve reached the tube bottom. It’ll effectively provide you with a broad idea about the overall length of the dip tube. Note that the required length should be more than that of the tube itself. Keep in mind that it should necessarily cover the entire length from the gasket top to the tube bottom.
3. Measure the reservoir of your trigger sprayer or pump sprayer
Now you need to find out the effective height of the sprayer container. Measure the reservoir height of the trigger sprayer or pump sprayer by estimating the distance between the container rim or top and the bottle bottom. You can simply use a ruler to measure.
In case the neck of the bottle is too narrow to accommodate it, a pencil can also be utilized instead. Just insert the pencil until it touches the container bottom and mark the point where it extends from the bottle top. Then, take the pencil out and measure the distance from its base to where you’ve put the mark. This value indicates the inner height of the sprayer bottle.
4. Finalize the tube placement inside your sprayer tank
You can consider arching the dip tube towards the internal wall of the sprayer container for optimizing content dispensing. On the contrary, you may also choose to reduce the tube length for leaving a little buffer space between the container floor and tube bottom. However, never flush-cut your dip tube for trigger sprayers or pump sprayers as your container might choke the straw and prevent dispensing the product inside.
5. Test the prototype
Testing the trial length of your dip tube should be the concluding step before placing a bulk order for surplus pump sprayers or trigger sprayers. We suggest trimming it and test-fitting the same on our sample sprayers. But you should be very careful while trimming it or you’d end up with a way too short dip tube.
Finally, check a few times if your sprayer is functioning properly and repeat these steps until you’ve zeroed in on the right dip tube length. Also, remember to write the measurement obtained in your note pad so that you don’t have to rely on your memory while placing the order.
So, here are the five essential steps for calculating the perfect length of dip tube for trigger sprayers or pump sprayers.
