What is TEC certification
?

However, the process only become easier after the product is able to pass all the tests by Mandatory Testing of Equipment by Telecommunication Engineering Centre or MTETEC.
The trails of getting TEC approval certificate
We only said that the process is easier for the foreign manufacturers because they have the commodity of time to have the virtue of patience to get the TEC approval in time. In reality however, the employees who file the application have to follow the steps given below:
They have to get the telecom equipment tested by an independent lab. And not just any lab, it’s one that’s accredited – have permission – to submit test results to the government bodies.
Once the test reports are with the applicant’s representative. He has to create an account on the TEC portal. Unlike your standard portal where you enter your details and get instant access, you have to wait even get your User ID.
After the request of account creation is approved, the user Id and a password is generated. The representative than uses them to gain access to the TEC application form.
The form is filled and following documents are uploaded:
Initial Test report of the product based on GCS and SCS schemes.
Authorization letter to let the representative handle the application filing process
Address proof of where the manufacturing unit is located
Complete technical details of the telecom equipment
Bill of all the materials used to make the product.
TEC will conduct many tests from their own side and then, they will grant you the TEC certificate.
Modifying the certificate
Imagine a scenario where you’ve gone through all the steps above. You have remained in touch with your consultant as they filed the application and get you the certification. How would you feel that even after all the trials you had to go through, the reward – TEC certification India – you got is the wrong one? Not good.
So, in such cases, modifying TEC certification remains the only option. Thankfully, the process is rather easy. All you need to do is file the application to modify existing certificate. In the documents you’ll attach:
The certificate that requires change, and
Document proof supporting that change.
The application is obviously going to approved in less time than you think. Once it’s done, you’ll receive a new TEC certificate via your registered email.
