As the day progressed, though the raga mole of life, you realised that the slight tingling sensation started to aggravate, and your throat begins to feel parched, almost dry in need for a quick water break. Even though you tried to soothe your throat, you realised that this sensation is going to be back within a few hours. So, you decide to take a spoonful of your trusty koflet syrup and get on with your day.

A few hours pass and you begin to feel low with your persistent sore throat. Your voice is hoarse, your throat is painful. Like most internet users, you begin to list your symptoms on the search engine, trying to find a description of exactly what you’re going through, and finding remedies to relive the same. As you scroll though the endless articles, you realise that there are a few remedies that are consistently advised to soothe and recover from your painful ailment.

1. Cough Medicine: these help to relive nasal congestions that cause a mucus induced cough. The usual dosage varies from the kind and intensity of the medicine, but usually within 3-4 days a regular sore throat begins seeing a positive recovery. ...

2. Salt Water: starting the day by gargling salt water breaks down secretions thus soothing the sore throat. It helps kill the bacteria causing the sore throat, and keeps swelling and pain to a minimal.

3. Any kind of hot beverage: warm water, chamomile tea tends to soothe a sore throat due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

4. Apple cider vinegar: this ingredient helps break down mucus due to its acidic nature, making the spread of bacteria stop. It is a highly researched remedy, proven to help fight off infections causing a cough and a sore throat.

As you take these mental notes of what you can do to feel better to help get through your difficult day, you decide to give salt water gargle a go, to soothe your throat, and clear it up for a few hours.

A few more hours pass by, you have substituted all your sweets and cold beverages for warm food, and nutritious meals, after all, it’s best to eat highly nutritious food when you have taken ill. As you eat your warm soup, you take in the simplistic moment of bliss, a throat with no itches, or pains, a smooth swallow.

Deciding to end the day earlier is the best thing you do, a good night of sleep, enough time for your body to rest makes it easier to get well sooner. You end the night with another spoonful of koflet syrup and dose off, to wake up to another bright January morning, hopefully, with a fresh throat and a healthy day ahead!
