VOB stands for DVD Video Object. This contains the multiplexed Dolby Digital Audio and MPEG-2 Video that enable sound and picture for a DVD object.
MPEG format is a series of video standards defined by the Moving Picture Experts Group. There are versions available like MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, MPEG-7, and MPEG-21. This works on Windows NT/2000/2003/XP and also Windows Vista. Or another option would be to add the file, load the DVD, and select the files that need the conversion and clicking ok. Care must be taken to select the proper output format to enable proper conversion. It should be remembered that MPEG in turn has many internal formatting options.
