The news related to Covid-19 vaccines has consistently come in thick and fast in the last few months. Many countries have now rolled up covid-19 vaccines including Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Germany, Russia, and the United Kingdom along with many others. The United Kingdom is the first western country to license a covid-19 vaccine. But nothing can be said about the vaccine’s complete efficiency and dexterity, especially in the current situation where the virus’s multiple mutants have prevailed. The mass public is frightened and in dilemma regarding the safety and security of the vaccine.

However, the people who may get affected by the vaccine will be compensated with a one-off tax-free payment of £120,000 according to the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme. This payment can affect benefits like Income support, pension credit, working tax credit, housing benefit, and Universal Credit to count a few. Otherwise, any health effects post any medical treatment can cause civil liability and is usually dealt with by medical negligence lawyers. 
Is The COVID-19 Vaccine Completely Safe?
The NHS (National Health Service) is making it an assurance to provide vaccines to those who are at high risk of Covid-19 Vaccine and its repercussions. The imperiled sector contains elderly people, upfront medical, and social workers. 
Although its services to save lives is commendable but it has to be understood that whether it is completely safe or not. And what if it inversely raises other major problems. It is crucial to understand that the vaccines have been approved because they passed efficacy and safety tests. Be it Pfizer or Oxford- AstraZeneca, both have been verified to pass the requirements. According to the UK government, about 1.3 million people have received the vaccine. Pfizer, the vaccine for people aged 16 and above, is considered to be 95% effective to prevent the covid-19. A total of 60,000 people have received the vaccination of which 43, 000 people have received, have raised no safety concerns. According to Reuters, Pfizer has appeared very effective on covid-19 as well as on its mutants. 
Furthermore, the effectiveness of any vaccine is minimal in old people due to a retarded immune system. Since the covid-19 vaccine is provided to elderly people, it may not produce the desired results. Therefore, it cannot be said that the vaccines are inefficient. 
There is also a prevailing concept that, as everyone else is getting the vaccine and preventing the covid-19 spell, there is no need for me to get one. Well, this is a false opinion, because vaccination is the best prevention against any harmful disease. Also, it is very crucial to understand that, as for now to retaliate prevention is better than vaccination because the Covid-19 vaccine has doubled the burden on the UK hospitals.
