Modern classic is a highly updated choice for interior design that takes the best of both worlds - the suave and uniform elegance of the classic 19th Century and the easy-going minimalistic ebullience of the Modern Time. Such concepts have shaped the inspiration for the Sanderson Rugs collection shows the watercolour paintings, English heritage garden palettes, bold florals and abstract geometric patterns of the classic Art Deco concept.

The Brink & Campman Partnership
Brink & Campman comes with over 100years of reputation and is among the pioneers of the Modern Rugs concept that looks away from the Traditional Oriental and Persian stereotype. Even though the company works with modern designs, they still use the traditional craftsmanship, significantly Axminster Weaving and handcrafted techniques. Brink & Campman Sanderson Rugs collection was launched in 2019, featuring the finest hand-tufted wool rugs with loop pile and cut pile variations and underfloor heating compatibility.

Modern Rugs In Classic Collection - An Exquisite Collection

The designs include the eloquent foliage ...
... patterns such as Rainforest, Manila, Calathea, Dahlia & Rosehip. The abstract hand-painted styles like Poppies, Stapleton and Rose & Peony. Abstract and Elsdon are the other two designs that are featured as among the most striking ones in this collection, that feature the paint strokes concept in a rich and rustic appeal available in Earthy colours.

Then there is the highly popular 3D floral range that includes designs like Mapperton, Anthea.

The classic trellis pattern finds an elegant reprise in this collection in the name of Empire Trellis that is available in different colours of the pastel scheme and a dark blue.

The designs and concepts of this range have a careful symbolism that is made for the modern home, with an ode to the classics.

Pure wool material and hand-tufted craftsmanship come with strong assurance of durability and easy on maintenance. Ideal for laying on living areas, these can withstand heavy traffic and furniture wear and tear and look brand new for years.

Sanderson Morris Rugs Collection
The 2019 collection is not the only collection for which Sanderson Design Group collaborated with Brink & Campman rug makers. The brand now holds the licences of the legendary English furnishing company Morris & Co, which was founded by artist William Morris.

The acquiring company got together with the Dutch rug maker to recreate the most iconic Morris patterns into exclusive area rugs, which includes the likes of Strawberry Thief, Seaweed, Lodden and many others.
Rich, dense and ornate 18th century designs, behold the classic European elegance with candor. The colour palette involves subdued shades of rich blues, greens, red, taupe and beige that look straight out of a library edition fairy tale book.

These are also pure wool rugs with hand tufted manufacturing that are compatible with underfloor heating.

The modern classic concept is represented in a much different note, but you are definitely in for a treat for the effortlessly luxurious appeal of this collection that refuses to let your space look shabby or unglamorous.

Where to Buy in UK

Sanderson sells their rugs through private dealers and you won’t be able to buy directly from their website. There is no problem finding a stockist or dealer of Sanderson Rugs in the UK either land-based or online. But when you are looking to buy branded rugs these days in the United Kingdom, the best place to go for is to raid the online stores. Not only do these stores offer guarantees of genuinity, they also give you the benefit of transparency and you can always compare the prices and nail the best deals, without much ado. Sanderson deals with stockists worldwide, and different places would give you different prices. So if you are shopping online at a native store you can get added benefits like free home delivery, plus after sales services for the maintenance of the rug. Moreover, returns, exchanges and redressals are very easy when you are shopping online. You can customize sizes, take advantage of holiday sales and also buy gifts all at one place. So online is the way to go for rugs shopping in the UK.
