These will attempt to unclog the head and make sure it is properly aligned. Running a print head cleaning can use a decent bit of ink so, if your ink levels are low, you won't be able to run the task until you replace the ink.

If your printing is out of sync, for example, if the colors are not printing correctly you may need to re-align the heads. Color ink is a combination of the three primary colors being printed out in specific amounts to create any color you want. When they are misaligned, some colors may print more than others turning blue into purple and so on. Normally there is a re-align feature in your printer's control sections that will handle this for you. Following these simple tips will extend the life of your inkjet printer and make sure that each print job is as perfect as the first test page you ever printed.
