What Is Entertainment And How It Is Affecting Our Society?
Entertainment can be an activity of leisurely entertainment or a distraction from routine. Importantly, countries have been shaped by synthesis of indigenous influences through arts and entertainment. Entertainment which offers laughter is always welcome to cherish our life. We can find humor in a small occasion. You don’t need to pay to get entertained. Most man made entertainment is boring. Entertainment which offers laughter is always welcome to cherish our life. We can find humor in a small occasion. You don’t need to pay to get entertained. There are many different ways of entertainment, it can be through media, games, socializing etc. Now if we remember, it is easier to memorize a song than memorizing any of the answers or policies so in our childhood we used to learn tables in the form of some lyrical song. Most man made entertainment is boring. The mind's imagination proves that we cannot go without entertainment, because we start to make things up when waiting in line for coffee. When in the waiting-room at the hospital we tend to make stuff up that scares us, or we think about something calming in order to not ...
... cry and scream. While entertainment today feels more complex than the imagination, it really makes us too lazy to dream something up on our own. Entertainment should be for entertainment or to be more informed about society as a whole. When it becomes trash then there are needless killings, abuse of substance and alcohol, and use of other means to get high or addicted. This is where it gets worse because people copy good and bad behavior and entertainment is to show the road to lead to bad behavior most times and it isn’t something we should consider but view with a clear understanding of what could happen to us in the long run.
Effect Of Entertainment On Society
According to Wikipedia, entertainment is all about grabbing the “attention and interest of an audience.” It also “brings pleasure and delight.” With that powerful combination, some will take advantage of the opportunity to plant seeds in ripe young minds, with the intention of influencing how they think. Often without any of us realizing it, our entertainment culture often pervades our daily lives and impacts our personal perceptions and attitudes. From clothing style to political beliefs, there is no doubt that the entertainment and mass media that we encounter each day on our television screens or on our radio influences how we behave or act in a certain way. But one aspect of ourselves, above all, seems to be especially susceptible to this influence: our perceptions of beauty. From a psychological perspective, it also seems that conformity and the need for approval may be important factors in our tendency to be so consumed by mass media.
Entertainment plays a key role in the ruin of a society, but that role is symptomatic rather than causal. Some people argue that entertainment distracts people from real issues, and is even deliberately used by leaders for that purpose. That is true to some minor extent, at the very least. Of course leaders are aware that entertainment can help calm people down, and can be a vehicle for calming propaganda messages. Whether that’s good or bad, depends on your perspective. It depends on whether you think particular media messages are good or bad, and whether you think people should be enraged or should be calm in a given place and time.
Society Benefit From Entertainment
Typical life can be upsetting, and individuals need to unwind. Being engaged by others is a great method to remove some time from life. It can decrease pressure and make life's issues simpler to confront. Indeed, even only a couple hours can have a major effect.
It is a wellspring of unwinding.
It isn't restricted.
It upgrades your psychological well-being.
It shows you bunches of things.
It keeps you refreshed.
It gives you a goal.
Sources of Entertainment
Shows - Undoubtedly, television plays an important role in our life, because we spend several hours in front of a TV screen every day. What does an average person know about the history of TV shows? Probably nothing. Very few people know that the first TV shows appeared in the 1930s and resembled current soap operas. The main target audience for TV shows was housewives, mainly advertising cleaning products in between the shows. The most famous producer of soap operas has always been Brazil. Of course, the USA managed to compete for the leadership in this genre in the 1980s when the world saw Santa Barbara. This TV serial ran until 1993 with more than 2,100 episodes and it was broadcasted in more than 50 countries. Nowadays, soap operas still attract high audience numbers, though the popularity of this genre is gradually reducing. Modern TV shows attract the audience’s attention with the help of a captive plot, special effects, a famous cast, and huge marketing budgets. No wonder, nearly everyone has at least several favorite TV shows to help them pass the time!
Web Series - Since technology is changing continuously and expanding, it's been more than a decade since the technology arrived in the entertainment industry and changed it all along from toe to head. Young artists, comedians, and film enthusiasts began posting videos online in hopes of getting seen on one of the new “social networks” - like Friendster or MySpace. It all started with Google-owned YouTube, in the year 2005, it is a newly launched video sharing website. During the summer, Saturday Night Live hired the team (including Andy Samberg) to join their show, hoping their unique videos would be a “shot in the arm” during a down period of the show’s history. In December 2005, Samberg and Chris Parnell performed in an SNL Digital Short called "Lazy Sunday,” which was uploaded to YouTube – a new site that made it easy to post and share online videos. For most people, this was their first introduction to YouTube, as the video was shared and forwarded millions of times. After all, an Internet user is always “one click away.” Nowadays, it is high time for the OTT(Over-The-Top) platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, HBO Max, etc. These are some big names of the OTT industry. However, the funny thing is you do not need to be a big player to boost in the entertainment industry, for instance, MX Player is an Indian small video player and hosting, the video hosting is of no cost with the power of high-quality content it becomes very famous among the Indian users, you should definitely check out some good MX player web series , that are worth watching.
Movies - At first, the films were very short, sometimes only a few minutes or less. They were shown at fairgrounds, music halls, or anywhere a screen could be set up and a room darkened. Subjects included local scenes and activities, views of foreign lands, short comedies, and newsworthy events. By the early 1930s, nearly all feature-length movies were presented with synchronized sound and, by the mid-1930s, some were in full color too. The advent of sound secured the dominant role of the American industry and gave rise to the so-called ‘Golden Age of Hollywood’. During the 1930s and 1940s, cinema was the principal form of popular entertainment, with people often attending cinemas twice a week. Ornate ’super’ cinemas or ‘picture palaces’, offering extra facilities such as cafés and ballrooms, came to towns and cities; many of them could hold over 3,000 people in a single auditorium. In the past 20 years, film production has been profoundly altered by the impact of rapidly improving digital technology. Most mainstream productions are now shot on digital formats with subsequent processes, such as editing and special effects, undertaken on computers. In the past few years, there has been a revival of interest in 3D features, sparked by the availability of digital technology. Whether this will be more than a short-term phenomenon (as previous attempts at 3D in the 1950s and 1980s had been) remains to be seen, though the trend towards 3D production has seen greater investment and industry commitment than before.
