The current War Arc on My Hero Academia has been the most intense and violent of the series yet. Several top-heroes have lost their lives, including Gran Torino, Twice, Thirteen, and Crust. The heroes’ downfall is bound to shake public trust, and they would find it hard to feel safe under their protection. Since the number one hero lost his reputation to Dabi, Aizawa lost a leg; Hawks was burnt to a crisp, and Mirko lost both arms; the injuries will leave a long-lasting mark on the confidence of the top-heroes. Now, it remains uncertain what will happen next in the series as the heroes struggle to adjust to the new normal.

The recent beatdown of the heroes has sparked speculations about the future of the series. Several theories have spread like wildfire on social media as fans expect either a sudden end or a typical Shonen time skip. Although the former seems impossible because Weekly Shonen Jump always announces when a series enters its final arc, it is certainly not the end for the manga. However, the creators have clarified that Chapter 290 of the manga will be the start of the War Arcs finale, which means that ...
... the fans will soon be introduced to the post-war world of My Hero Academia. If the current scenario is anything to go by, we can expect a gloomy future awaiting the young heroes.

Irrespective of how the War Arc concludes, it is obvious now that the villains already have the moral victory. The identity reveals that Dabi will shake the public’s trust in the number one hero. Endeavor will have to face his dark past and accept the consequences of his actions. Since top-heroes like Best Jeanist and Hawks, the heroes will struggle to find a replacement for them until they are fit enough to fight again. Thousands of civilians have lost their lives due to Gigantomachia’s rampage, and it is obvious now that the heroes have suffered more than the villains. The next chapter’s preview, which says “The nightmare continues,” suggests that villains are going to unleash even more devastation.

The villains, too, will have to face the aftermath after the war is over. Some of them may be captured while Shigaraki will likely escape. As of now, there is uncertainty over whether All for One or Shigaraki is the true villain of the series. Although All for One intruded with Shigaraki’s body to help him in the War Arc, the latter made it clear that he resented it. Their confrontation seems inevitable, and it would be interesting to see how it turns out. Since the series is about heroes and villains, the fans will love to know the series’s final villain.

Since the Japanese school starts, their academic years in April, it means that the students of Class 1-A will soon go to their second year of high school and become Class 2-B. Although it is uncertain what will the implications of the War Arc on the U.A high school but if it is not closed down, which seems likely, Hitoshi Shinso has been promised to join either Class 2-A or Class 2-B. He recently rose to prominence, and it would be intriguing to see how his character evolves further as he joins the hero course.

However, the War Arc has left the fate of U.A High school in uncertainty. It is impossible to predict its future. If the classes are continued after the War Arc conclusion, the students are not likely to get regular classes, and with so many top-heroes injured, the work studies won’t be the same as before. It is also expected that the teachers will have to cancel the work studies for at least one academic year since it would be too risky with all the Paranormal Liberation Front’s villains on the loose. It is unlikely that there would be a significant time skip, and Horikoshi might continue with his typical smaller time skips.
