Apple Watch Series 6: Everything You Need To Know
Another release in the Apple Watch series has got its potential customers excited. However, many people are wondering about the new features introduced and whether they should upgrade their device or not.
The new Apple Watch Series 6 gives a premium look that seems fair according to its price. The design appears to be similar because of the same visual aesthetic over a few generations. Moreover, OS-based smartwatches like the Oppo Watch tried to use the same design as Apple.
The new watch series consists of a 1.78-inch Retina LTPO OLED display and a digital crown at its right. A microphone and a power button also sit next to the digital crown, making it easy for you to interact with the watch.
A speaker is present on the watch’s left side, and the health and wellness-related features, like heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring sensors, are located underside. The new Series 6 Watch is available in multiple configurations, including a 40mm variant at $399 and a 44mm variant at $429. You can pick a watch ideal for smaller, medium, or large wrists with multiple options available.
Once you’ve come ...
... down to a decision of which model to buy, it’s time to select from a good deal of finishes and colors. Though Aluminium finish is the default option, you can opt to buy the Series 6 Watch in stainless steel, available for $699 for the 40mm version. If not this, a titanium model comes for $799. After this, select a color of your choice, and the Series 6 Watch comes in various colors, including gold, space grey, grey, blue, and red.
Finally, select the band for your Apple Watch to make it look elegant. It is advised to get a Leather Link band available for $99, contributing to the design. However, the other option is the Solo Loop band, a made-to-fit option for a comfortable fit.
Interestingly, the Series 6 Watch display remains on and automatically gets bright the moment you step outdoors. You require sufficient brightness and easy-to-read font in harsh sunlight. Thus, the inclusion of these features makes the watch a delight to use.
Additionally, the Series 6 Watch includes a 64-bit dual-core design. According to some reviewers, the Series 6 Watch is faster than the S5 chipset. The S6 Watch also consists of a W3 wireless chip to be able to use Bluetooth 5.0. It also connects to 5GHz Wi-Fi networks, includes a U1 ultra-wideband chip, and is water-resistant.
As mentioned above, the watch comes with an optical sensor to monitor the heart rate, an Sp02 sensor that depends upon LED clusters, and an electrical heart sensor. Moreover, it includes a gyroscope, GPS, light sensor, accelerometer, and a compass.
Talking about the battery life, the Series 6 Watch can run up to 24 hours on a single charge. Even if you use the sleep tracking feature, the battery works just fine when fully charged before using it. However, the only drawback is the time taken to charge the watch, which is 90 minutes for a full charge. Unfortunately, the watch doesn’t support Qi charging, so you’ll have to get an accessory like the Belkin Boost charge.
One of the most highlighted features in an Apple Watch Series 6 is blood oxygen monitoring. Your blood oxygen is monitored every few hours, which you can check manually anytime. Additionally, it consists of a handwashing timer, which works automatically when you wash your hands. Notably, the feature has to be enabled while setting up a watch.
Well, this is not it! An Apple Watch can do a lot more than the features mentioned above. It can send texts, make calls, track activities, measure indoor noise levels, and much more.
If you’re looking for an alternative pocket-friendly option, you may opt for the Apple Watch SE, which is available for $279. The best part is it offers a design very similar to the Series 6 Watch; however, the blood oxygen monitoring and always-on display features are absent.
If you want an always-on display feature strictly in your watch, you can buy a Series 5 Watch whose price has come down to $349 for the 44mm version.
The Series 6 Watch is the recent device introduced by Apple, and many people might want to upgrade their watches. Therefore, there’s no better time than now to get your hands on the latest tech and enjoy the experience using advantageous features.
