Samsung Galaxy Note 10 And Note 10 Plus Problems And How To Fix Them
Samsung introduced two of its best smartphones Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus in 2019. These phones have improved design and are visually striking. These are more than what was expected out of Samsung. But as good as they are, Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus still aren’t those superphones that can’t experience issues. without their problems. Here is a list of some problems and potential solutions experienced by Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10 Plus. However, it is very likely to never run into such issues with these two smartphones.
Accidental Screen Touches
The grand 6.8-inch and 6.3-inch displays that come with the Galaxy Note 10 Plus and Galaxy Note 10 make these classic phones productive, but the big screen can be hard to get the grip over. It has been observed that because of the big screen size, many users are experiencing accidental screen touches and interactions. Not to mention the edged screen. Well, it’s not something that Samsung didn’t anticipate, so it did provide some features, just in case.
Solutions:
You can turn on Accidental touch protection. You will find this ...
... option under the Display section in Settings.
Also, you can disable the Edge screen. You will find this option under the Display section in Settings.
Disabling the Lift to Wake feature can also be helpful. To do so, open Settings and go to the Advanced features section. Then tap on Motions and gestures followed by Lift to wake to toggle it off.
S Pen Isn’t Working
The little S Pen that comes with the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus converted the smartphone skeptics into believers. This accessory can do everything one can think of, not to mention its media control feature with air gestures. However, some users have complained that the phone is unable to recognize the S Pen and experiencing inconsistent strokes.
Solutions:
Consider removing the phone case, as it might contain metals and magnets, which can hamper the connection between the S Pen and the phone.
The screen protector can be the culprit for inconsistent motion, so consider removing it.
You might want to change the S Pen tip. If the above solution didn’t work for inconsistent S-Pen strokes, then maybe it’s time to change the tip. Thankfully, the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus comes with extra tips for the S Pen.
Apps Don’t Take up the Entire Screen
With smartphones getting taller, some app developers are also updating their apps to fit into the taller displays. Yet, some of them still don’t seem to be interested in occupying that extra space. You find this problem with popular apps like Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter though, but nothing can’t be said about the others.
Solutions:
You will find a pop-up on the button of the screen of any app that doesn’t use the entire screen. You can tap on it and slide the app to full-screen mode.
In case you don’t find any pop-up at the bottom, then go to Settings, and tap on Display. Scroll down to find the app that isn’t full-screen. Then tap on the app, and select Full Screen.
Push Notification Issues
Since our lives are partially dependent on our mobile phones these days with continuous work calls and emails throughout the day, it could be scary to receive delayed notifications. Although Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus runs as smoothly as possible, however, this lazy behavior of app notifications is not acceptable and needs to be fixed.
Solutions:
Make sure that the apps that are sending late notifications aren’t on the “battery optimization” list. This keeps the app from running in the background while you need them to, to receive timely notifications. It might cause higher battery consumption, but it’s worth ensuring you don’t miss anything important. Navigate to Settings, and tap on Apps > Configure apps > Battery optimization > All apps. Scroll down to find the apps that are experiencing the issue, and disable them.
Issues With Swipe Gestures
Android 10 came with a new navigation method in the form of swipe gestures, which is not working as expected for many users.
Solutions:
To enable swipe gestures, navigate to Settings > Display > Navigation bar > More options. From here, you can enable swipe gestures. In case you find “More options” greyed out, know that this is because the third-party launcher you are using doesn’t support swipe navigation. This means you will have to change back to Samsung’s default launcher or find one that supports this feature.
Just in case, you did experience any of the above-mentioned issues, we hope it has been solved now.
